| brentfeesh (77), Gadsden, Alabama | | April 2, 2012 First stop on the KC trip. We drove in from down town and took the freeway and then cut over on 75th street. Wrong way to go! Ghetto fabulous all the way to the brewery. I was actually a little concerned about what I would find inside considering what I drove through but I was pleasantly surprised. The bar and brewery is a bit cramped but we were there in the early afternoon so there weren’t many people there. The bar we sat at was pretty cool but the overall atmosphere had a definite unfinished look to it. the beer selection was fine and all the beers were tasty. Nice enough wait staff. It’s a bit out of the way but ride back took us through miles of Mansions...That’s the way you want to go. | | Signalwriter (18), Houston, Texas | | August 16, 2011 Stopped for a first visit while traveling, this is an easy-to-find location from I-35. And on a Wednesday afternoon, not overcrowded. The server, undergoing training, was admittedly unknowledgeable but willing. The beer samples were a great range, the Golden Ale and the Summit Street IPA being especially fine. Best of all: the food was fresh and tasty: great selection of artisan cheeses on the "ploughman’s lunch." | | boto (43), Granby, Connecticut | | July 20, 2011 Decided to try this for lunch while passing through the area. There is a wide expanse of street front glass, although the place seems deeper than it is wide. The brewing system is in the middle of the building, separating the bar and dining areas. The beers that I had were solid, although nothing was exceptional. The bar area was adorned with Mug Club mugs. It seems as if they get to bring their own mug, as they all seemed to be different. I only had the Kobe burger, which was excellent. I ordered it medium rare, but came out a bit overdone. They were very apologetic and offered me a new one, but I declined since it wasn’t overdone. They did comp me a beer. The service was very attentive, and the prices reasonable. I definitely would come back. | | SudsMcDuff (112), .....Manchester United.........., Texas | | July 15, 2011 Stopped by for lunch, had some of the nicest calamari in my life here.. big selection of their brews. friendly server who unfortunately knew next to nothing about beer, so spewed rubbish, but he tried and had lots of enthusiasm.. Enjoyed my beers, comfortable atmosphere and in a good spot in town. recommended indubitably... | | badlizard (109), San Diego, California | | June 27, 2011 Decent selection of house brews at good prices and average service. The menu wasn’t especially original, and I didn’t try the food. The ambiance is a bit dingy and dark, but a decent experience overall. | | eclaycamp (35), , Kansas | | May 15, 2011 Walking into 75th Street Brewing, the first thing you’re likely to notice is the brewhouse, which is encased in glass in the middle of restaurant. It’s clear that they want you to see it in action. Most of their regular selection of beer is average to above average (the IPA in particular was quite nice). They’ve also begun bottling some bigger beer, such as a Wheat Wine and other treats. The food is quite good, service is fast, and it’s a fun place to check out. Somewhat off the beaten path, especially for KC. | | jandd1983 (87), Florissant, Missouri | | March 19, 2011 Nice atmosphere, decent selection of food and brews. We tried the sampler, good selection of brews. I wish our waiter would have said there were more brews than what the sampler contained. Found out on the way out they had other offerings that were not on the sampler listing. Would visit again asking about the non-sampler brews. | | Tomfoolery (17), Sedalia, Missouri | | March 19, 2011 Nice place--good beer and food selection. Can be crowded so go early or look into alternatives. Fair parking in the back. Overall, a pleasant beer experience. | | RobertDale (19), Lansing, Kansas | | December 12, 2010 Stopped by for lunch on way to visit relatives in the area. Enjoyed the visit, stayed longer than planned. Wish I lived closer so I could visit this brewpub more often. Enjoyed the beers and food. | | adnielsen (277), Fort Collins, Colorado | | October 22, 2010 Pretty cool brewpub with a great atmosphere and a couple of good beers. |
