| angelina (13), vienna(Austria), rome(Italy), | | February 14, 2012 I expected more french beers from tap. And the prices.....like whole Paris very expensive. | | loys (13), , | | February 7, 2012 Typical parisian "brasserie", with a larger choice of beers than anywhere else.
Westmalle Dubbel on draught, Craig Allan’s beers in bottles, …
Unfortunateley, prices are also parisian! | | bentotheben77 (10), flers en escrebieux, France | | December 28, 2011 Un bon resto, même si le terme "Académie" est un peu superlatif.. | ceciledelth (7), does not count - explanation | | December 17, 2011 A good selection of 12 belgian beers. Very good mussels especially with curry and cream. A good place to have beers and food until late ( they close at 3 AM) | ben_p (9), , France does not count - explanation | | December 14, 2011 a large selection of bottles but really expensive, almost as belgian beer and servers are rude. | | Romain (10), Paris, France | | November 12, 2011 Good place and good food. Open busy. Good selection, beers change offently. | | ultimatepoche (35), Lille, France | | September 27, 2011 Was in Paris yesterday, I went to this bar to see if they were up to their reputation, I was a bit disapointed ... large selection of beers in bottles , but most of them are industrial type " abbaye " beers; some fine ones as well such as trappist products. Food is nice , not great but cheap for paris. A must go if only out of curiosity, but not a world class beer bar. | | hophop (10), , Scotland | | August 12, 2011 Reasonable selection of Belgians beers on tap and in bottle alongside some Germans. Food OK. | | hoju777 (10), , France | | April 23, 2011 So my ratings on value are based on happy hour. You can get a 50 cl tap beer for 5 euros. And their beers on tap are some of the best in Paris (Chimay, St. Feuillien, Westmalle, etc, just look at the webpage.) And they always have a relatively interesting rotating beer on tap.
They have food too, but it’s a bit expensive. I guess it’s not abnormal for Paris, but it’s nothing you can’t get elsewhere for cheaper.
But the beer is worth the trip! If you have to choose between here and La Gueze, go here. | Nickls (3), SE DC, Washington DC does not count - explanation | | July 2, 2010 March 2008. Great proximity to interesting sights in the Latin Quarter, and well worth the trip to that neighborhood given that I was staying in the 8th.
The place was not that packed on an early Saturday evening, and the space inside was a bit cozy. There was a lot of outdoor seating, but a bit too cold during my visit.
Like other posts mention, a definite focus on Belgians, which is a tad disappointing given my hunt for French beers. Not complaining though, because I had a great Kasteel Brune on draft, which was not that expensive compared to the bottle selection prices.
