Perfect stabber (noakas)! Meaning- be drunk around 10am, come here and drink some more. Probably by 11am somebody has started a fight with you and you get stabbed. Iím not easily scared, but I felt really uncomfortable here. Classic Latvian beers on tap (here or take-away). Not really a place to stay.

Pretty grotty almost kiosk-style tap-to-bottle shop. All the beers quite common in the decent bars in town, so no ticks, and not expecting any in the future either. Environment was unfriendly, and the old geezers smoking outside didnít make you feel comfortable even when youíre arriving. The above sounds a bit negative, but Iíd probaby pick up some traditional and local brews here if I was a local. Wouldnít stay to drink them in the place though.

Local beers in takeaway bottles in any size. Clean and well lit with polite staff. Canít beat the prices. Located right next to the Tallink hotel, making it a perfect spot to stock up before getting back on the ferry.

Small kiosk-like place with a number of taps where most customer simply fill up PET bottles of unpasteurized small brewery beers. However there is also drink-in possibilities. Cheap and simple option for those that want to sample the good local stuff.

A combined beer store and bar. Itís really a tiny place, with a small "shelf" along the wall where you can sit and drink your beer. Alternatively, you can stand on the pavement outside. This is a real working-menís place. No tourists in here. They have six Latvian micros draft plus a kvass, which they pour onto PET bottles for you, ranging from 0.33l to 3l. The bottles have no labels, but I got the nice lady behind the bar to put little post-it stickers on them so I knew what was what.
