62 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 12/20
Local restaurant with a short japanese tap/bottle selection with a focus on Kansai stuff, a bit pricey. Average in many ways, just another place really, nothing special but ok for lunch in the area I guess.

Fairly pleasant atmosphere, dim lighting, quiet with gentle pop music on the system. Seating for six at the bar and 15 at tables. Limited but well-selected beer menu: five Japanese craft brews, plus Edelpils and Sapporo Black Label. Prices are just a touch high, especially considering that the beers on tap are not really such rare or interesting ones: US pint for Y1,100, UK pint for Y1,300, and 1-liter masu for Y2,200. A few bottles, including one way overpriced bomber from Shiga Kogen. Also serve six Japanese white wines,14 red varieties, and one rose. Food on offer is a selection of small plates, salads, and pizzas. Okay for a short stop, but you probably won’t find more than one or two brews you really want to try.

Near Shinsaibashi station, close to Kamikaze and Oonoya. Nice atmosphere, wood interior, slightly slick. Small place, 4-5 tables and a bar seating 6-7. Barman and cook were friendly and they were very careful with their pours. Selection is rather small, Sapporo and Edelpils plus 5 Japanese craft beers on tap, a small selection of Japanese craft bottles. Focus on Minoh and Shiga Kogen. Food menu looked quite good. Their speciality is mincemeat Cutlets. Nice place, especially if you want to eat and have some good beer with your meal.

A wide building but quite small inside with seating for a dozen at the bar and a dozen at tables. High ceilings + windows make it seem spacious. Nice dark wood decor, chill vibe. Bottles from 900 to 1300 maybe 8 varieties plus 7 taps at S 650 & reg 900 UK Pint 1200 Mass 2000. Nice looking place near Shinsaibashi though the tap list was mostly Minoh regulars. My issue here was the place was empty and the staff basically ignored me. I went to 4 bars I’d never been to today and this was by far the least friendly. If they were busy I’d get it but when I am the only one there? Also when I asked about the Mujina beer(which I’d heard they had one last bottle left on Saturday) they treated me like I was crazy and of course they don’t have any left. Gruff service big negative for me, shame good location. I may give them another go sometime.

Nice little bar with friendly service. Selection is limited but has more craft beer than crap. Bartender knew his way around and was helpful in broken English. Not a must go, but a nice stop.
