Beautiful underground pub, half-cavern and half beautiful middle-age knights hangout. Lots of rocks and big wood. A truly beautiful place. The bar has not beers on tap, ZERO tap lines. It however offers the largest bottle selection I’ve seen in Lithuania, all Lithuanian craft beers. The many beer fridges are fully accessible, you pick your bottles, you bring them to the cashier counter, you pay for them, then you go and sit at the beautiful tables. I’ve always liked this concept of a beer bar where you shop like in a beer store, full access to the bottles, you can take the bottles in your hands, feel them, read the front and back labels and whatnot, then decide what you want to buy, like if you were in a beer store. I didn’t see any food. The underground setting makes it a place to visit at night, a real bar for all-night drinking. This is one of 4 or 5 mandatory beer places to visit in Vilnius. Great bar.

Nice cellar atmosphere, lots of bottled beers. Our service was freindly, but generally they recommended beers that were not so great. Actually, almost none of the beers we choose here were very good. It wasn’t the condition, it’s just that they were pretty much all boring. I would go for the tap bars first.

Good selection of bottled beers, rare and new ones. I had my first Lithuanian IPA there. As I was there, the first time they had electrical problems, so all lights were going off, funny special program... . The place is a beautiful cellar, so the atmosphere is cool. You should visit it if you are in Vilnius.

Well, the ambiance is definitely very cool...charming and dark brick cellar underground. Very small. Picking your own bottle out of the cooler (and your own glass, even better!) is quite fun as well. During our first visit we were able to sample not only the beers we purchased, but one beer from a local who came in and sat nearby (his was infected/sour, but he seemed to like it that way), and several more from an American couple who came in later and were doing basically the same thing we were (minus the ratings). Although the first few we tried were drinkable, things went downhill really fast after that and we were not able to find anything decent for the remainder of our visit. Still, if you’re going to try Lithuanian beers in Vilnius, this is almost certainly the place to do it because at least you’ll have an enjoyable setting. No draft beer but dozens of bottles.

Great atmosphere in the basement of an old town Vilnius street. The best selection of Lithuanian beers but only on bottle, there are no taps. Pretty good sausage dish as pub grub.

Got to the bar as the only customers on a sunny june afternoon. It was hot outside, even hotter inside. Very helpful female bartender that claimed they had around 80 different lithuanian beers, all in bottles. Great value, good music, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, blues. Probably the nicest of all the bars visited in Vilnius.

Little bar in the center of old town, below street level, cozy and fun setting, not too busy on a Friday night, but still grows stuffy and there’s a chance some English wanker stag party may be across from you. Beer sold to-go until 10pm, bar is open until midnight. No taps, only bottles from coolers, the selection is vast but many bottles are approaching their expiration date. I asked the staff for an idea of when most beer is bottled relative to the BBD (3 months before? 6 months?) after we found oxidation in two. Staff understood my oxidation comment, but blew me off. To be fair, the same woman at the bar later on a return visit was nice and she even smiled a couple of times. Also the bar manager present when we first arrived (there was a shift change) was very helpful and friendly and accomodating with our English. Regardless of that, the selection is very wide. A blessing and a curse, you can try 50 different Lithuanian beers at one place, but some may have absurd amounts of DMS or be oxidized, and you have no chance to know beforehand, or return them or even get staff to acknowledge this. most prices from 8-16 lita, some up to 30.

This has to be one of the nicest, most polite cellar bars in the world. Quiet and sedate (on a Tuesday night). Six fridges of beer where you buy and try or to 22.00 can buy for take home. Eclectic choice of Lithuanian, mostly smaller breweries. Good advice in English.
