Best place in Africa, pretty much. The selection is fairly extensive for the country, and they do a good job getting beers that otherwise are impossible to find. The vibe is great and so is the food. We bought a jar of jerk sauce to take home. Good stuff, and a must stop in Cape Town. Walkable from the Kenilworth train, if you’re so inclined.

Nice place. Went there in the afternoon, so wouldn’t know about the ambiance, but it seems a really nice place! Service is ok, but was bit dissapointed in the selection of beers...

Friendly, laid-back Caribbean restaurant/beer bar with large leafy patio. The best selection in all the land. If you ask any South African where to go for beer, he or she will direct you here. The selection is as good as it gets in these parts--with only local micros on tap and bottle. It's out of the downtown core but seems easy accessible on suburban train.

Finally a craft beer pub (restaurant) in Cape Town. Banana Jam is a must if you want to try South African craft beers. They usually have 10 beers on tap but every now and then it is more. The rest is on bottle.
