If you are going to Belize on a cruise ship, you may be hawked at to take the Brewery tour for $10 a head in Belize City. It is worth it. I went to the Brewery on a Non cruise ship day since I was staying at the Radisson. Ladyville is a 20 Minute drive from Belize City and is the town that the International Airport is centered at. You get a nice view of the Brewery when landing and taking off since it paralells the runway. The Brewery was modernized in 2000 and is quite clean and shiny. The tour culminates at the tap room and allows you to drink up for an hour. The Gate was closed when I arrived with my wife in our rental car, but the guard made a phone call and told us where to park. I got a nice personal tour and had a pint from a bright tank. Our tour guide gave a great tour of even the old tbrew kettles (now a storage room) and the cleaning of the bottling line. He left me in the tap room unsupervised for about 40 minutes since he had to go to a meeting. I got properly smashed on the stout (pouring my own) and then dropped a good chunk of cash on souveniers when he returneed. Shrewd... very shrewd. They saw me coming all the way from Belize City.
