36 reviews for Bierbrasserie Cambrinus
| Nate (197), Indiana, Pennsylvania | | December 7, 2009 Had lunch here on a Monday. Very nice beer selection, though a bit pricey on bottles. The food was very good, with nice regional fare. Good service, nice atmosphere. Nothing spectacular about the place, but I’d go back for the food and beer selection. | JayBaxter (4), Greater Manchester, England does not count - explanation | | December 2, 2009 Very nice big modern bar, massive wood bound beer menu and nice food but service was painfully slow and we had finished our drinks before the food arrived. | crowderm (5), Recklinghausen, Germany does not count - explanation | | November 3, 2009 Very conveniently located. Nice decor - lots of dark wood, dimly lit, but still spacious and welcoming. The selection of beer is outstanding, maybe the best I came across in Bruges. The food was tasty and satisfying, but not worth the 20 euros I payed for it. Overall the prices for food are quite high, the beer prices are slightly more reasonable, but not cheap. The service was painfully slow, and at times actually just ignored me, but they did seem to know their stuff, so I’ll give them some points for that. Service aside, highly recommended. | | rutilius (11), , Italy | | October 31, 2009 A nice surprise this massive pub near the Grote Markt. Impressive selection and very nice food | | SaintMatty (39), Tallinn, Estonia | | September 13, 2009 The layout reminds of a JDW pub, but that’s not really such a bad thing. The beer list is comprehensive and organised by style. The service can be a bit slow and I get the impression that the staff are not so knowledgeable, but this is still a good place and well worth visiting. | | marcus (91), Sacramento, California | | July 20, 2009 Located near the main square, this place has a beautiful wooden bar with nine stools and about a dozen tables. There are a few good beers on tap and over 400 bottles. I found some good ones here. There is a nice selection of lambics and both local and regional beers. The barkeeper is very friendly and knowledgeable. The cuisine is outstanding. | wimpie133 (5), Brugge, Belgium does not count - explanation | | April 13, 2009 As a crossing between a beer pub and a restaurant, this isn’t the most enjoyable, cosily place to taste beers. But the selecion they have is impressive: no place in Bruges where you have more choice than in the Cambrinus. You have a real book where you have the beers sorted style per style. And if tou have money enough with you, you can even drink the Westvleteren there. The service, however, could be much better: they are rather slow, and not all of the servants are that friendly as they should be. Also the knowledge of beers is sometimes missing, and when they don’t have a beer in stock they are not able to recommend you another similar beer. Finally you also have to pour out the beer yourself. But the big choice of beer you have compensates much! | | mabel (134), Toronto, Ontario | | March 22, 2009 Visited late on a Monday night last March, this large, welcoming (easy-to-find) bar was a welcome place to eat dinner. Marvelous Trappiste Cheese Croquettes! Wonderful lamb stew in Rochefort and Flemish Carbonates in Gouden Draak! Over 400 beers available here with very friendly staff serving them, plus they tipped us off on several new arrivals not only at their own bar, but at a competing beer bar down the street, Erasmus. Overall, an excellent experience, worth re-visiting. | | MiP (13), Sønderborg, Denmark | | January 8, 2009 A good selection of beers, they have a book with the beers in it. Upper-scale-looking place, but nice and relaxed. | | Jerre (50), Waregem, Belgium | | December 9, 2008 Visit this place with Leen on saterday 15.11.08 (2end BAB festival)
