60 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 3/10 SELECTION 3/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 19/20 Fatehunter (32) Corbett, Oregon | February 2, 2013 While the service is non-existent (self-serve), the selection limited to one beer (enjoyable) and the food average, it’s atmosphere and style more than make this worth a visit. We spent the better part of an afternoon here after seeing sights during the morning. | 44 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 3/10 SELECTION 4/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 10/20 Schlenkerla (203) , Austria | January 1, 2013 Very traditional beer hall and overall a lot of atmosphere. Beers are below average: One lager Beer - very light. During winter months they also offer a bock beer, which is too sweet. However the stone tankards, the beer halls and the food, although very expensive, make the Müllner Bräu a must visit for beer tourists. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Tim Webb (173) Cambridge, England | September 4, 2012| Updated September 8, 2012 It’s a taxi job from the centre but it is a classic brewery beer garden and beer hall that the whole party will remember. Serves its single beer direct from upright uncarbonated wooden casks. The food mall upstairs seems franchised. No, it’s not the best in the world but it is a bit special. | 78 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 20/20 geauxT (34) Virginia | July 29, 2012| Updated December 24, 2012 The best beer garden/hall in the world? Maybe. Marzen beer is fabulous; waaay too easy to gulp down. Buying a beer is fun (read up before strolling in) and cheap (6 euros for a liter?) Food stalls were solid and fun to try; especially "Grilled Whole Fish on a stick". A decent walk uphill from old town but well worth it. A must! | 72 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 Fin (368) Merton, Oxfordshire, England, England | June 7, 2012 We visited here Saturday 2nd June 2012 and loved it. This is a huge place the Biergarten was massive, the beer (only one choice) was good and to be sat here in the sun ( a rarity on this holiday) was a treat. Everyone around from youngsters to the old seemed to be having a good time, we had another beer and lapped up the atmosphere. Great place. | 80 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 kjc51478 (32) Cologne, Germany | September 25, 2011 Awesome beer locale in Salzburg! A definite must-stop in the city. Although there’s only one beer available, it is definitely a winner. The liter krug doesn’t hurt either. There’s a huge biergarten on site making for great beer drinking during the warmer months. Food selection is not the great - numerous stalls serving subpar food. But, the beer and the atmosphere is what makes this place great. | 78 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 10/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 19/20 juan13 (19) Bergamo, Italy | September 21, 2011 impossible to rate.
no service, only one beer, but is a good marzen in a sensational place.
you go to take your food, your beer (cheap) and than to a table in the tavern’s halls or in the garden.
a visit is a must! | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 5/15 FOOD 4/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 20/20 Psytron (13) Turku, Finland | August 16, 2011 One of the most impressive places I’ve seen. Served only one beer, their own märzen, the others were seasonal and not available. Great atmosphere with a huge patio. Food was pretty much salty. A great place to end a tiresome day of walking around Salzburg. | 72 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 17/20 EithCubes (215) New Jersey | July 22, 2011 Was here back in mid-May 2011, self-service beer garden for four or five hours. Atmosphere outside is relaxing and relatively cozy, would be a nice wind-down after a few days of sightseeing or a good spot for a piss-up with friends. And finally some authenticity, as not a ton of tourists made it out here. Only one beer, the Märzen, but it was good enough. Did have a strange experience dealing with the food dispensers inside, but only because I was ordering for two people with two streams of income and that fact just didn’t get through. Take public trans. [Numbers are massaged here because the overall rating certainly shouldn’t be in the 50s]. | 74 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Mostoboy (17) , Spain | April 30, 2011 A bit far from city centre, typical local environment where it can be found big mugs of beer! |
