A cool retro place to be found in a trendy and colourful street in the old town, not far from The Norwegian Petroleum Museum. In the back there’s a heated patio for smokers, then the main room with the bar and book shelves, and outside some very popular seating in the sun watching people passing by. Four well selected craft beers on tap supported by an interesting bottled menu. Friendly service. Praise for early opening hours. Perfect place for my book drop (visited with Lena and Stian, 20.06.2015).

Jeg fikk følelsen av å gå på biblioteket og drikke øl samtidig. Ellers var det en grei plass med hyggelig betjening og akseptabelt utvalg. Kommer til å komme innom igjen.

Best beer bar in Stavanger right now, great atmosphere, friendly staff and owners. Selection is good and always changing, but would love to see a few more tap lines. Only thing I want improvement on is that I always want a fresh IPA alternative on tap. A nice place to hang out...

Nice small and cozy place in the colorful Øvre Holmegata of Stavanger. Beer selection is among the cities finest and the prices are OK. Your real struggle here might be finding a table, but otherwise you’ll be well served.

Just a REALLY lovely place where staff and customers are just so nice.
It’s a small place so the selection is not big, but they did a good job on the particular beers so you won’t leave unhappy.
Perfect place to spend a quite hour with your partner and just enjoy a good talk.

A really cozy place with a nice selection of beers from both Norway and abroad. Got there on a very crowded night when there was a beer festival in town, but we found a place to put down our glasses, bottles pens and paper anyway. The barkeepers was a bit stressed, but we got what we wanted rather quick anyway. Sure a place I’ll return to next time I’m in Stavanger.

Not a bad alternative if Cardinal is full. Nice range on their bottle selection. Cozy place.

Small Cafe in Østervåg, beer selection has improved the last years, some good Norwegian micros and a limited but selected bottle selection. Nice relaxed ambience, lots of students, hard to find a place to sit, even at weekdays.

Small café right outside Stavanger city center. Lies in the middle of a tourist attraction called the colorful street. Small outdoor serving, café with all the coffees you would want and some dessert cakes as well, 5 beers on tap and 4 of those are changing all the time with different norwegian craft beers. Bottle selection is limited and on display at the back of the bar unde the roof but the selection is high class. In this café you can also buy any book that is on display and a + is the got beer magazines you can borrow and read at your table :-) You even get books on the restrooms! Board games to play and a small outdoor space in the backyard. Cozy and small place. Downside is that it is almost always full so you will have a hard time finding a table. But if you are lucky you are in for a treat!

Very cosy, small café with a surprisingly varied (and steadily increasing) selection of interestng beers, situated in the most colourful (literally speaking) street in Stavanger. Excellent for late summer evening chats at their pavement tables or in their tiny back garden.
