The bar’s bottle menu has been expanded, there are now more than 100 variants. Very good freshly made food, their Tromsø Fish Burger can be recommended. (June 2014).
Two Mack beers on tap, but more than
40 bottles, most of them interesting craft beers - among others a good variety of beers from brewery’s like Nøgne Ø, Fullers, Belhaven, and Flying Dog, and even a few from Sambrooks and Demory Paris. Most of their beer menu is displayed on a black board behind the bar. Great to have Fullers London Pride and Theakston Old Peculier, even in plastic glass, while attending a rock concert with the Norwegian band Raga Rockers in the adjoining Kulturhuset. Café Sånn is situated right in the city center in the upper corner of the house of culture building, facing the city hall. The waitresses at work were friendly and seemed to have satisfying knowledge of their beers. One of them told me that Flying Dog In de Wildeman Farmhouse IPA was floral, spicy and quite hoppy sweet. And that was just to the point. Medium sized Café Sånn with its L-shaped bar at the rear has got a relaxing, informal, and inviting atmosphere. For the time being Café Sånn, together with Skarven, is the best place for craft beers in Tromsø (Visited, 05.06.2013).
