Seemed like a nice place, but not much of a beer selection at the time of my visit. Only one Piebalgas available, but it seemed fresh and quite nice. Not worth going out of your way for, but could be a stop on way to ALEhouse.

Latvian style restaurant/pub? I mean itís not a pub and itís not really a restaurant either. On Friday night completely empty. Had a Piebalgas Tumsais Lux, which was absolutely perfect and a chat with the barmaid. Couple of taps but only 1 of them had any liquid in it.

Fairly nondescript place for locals, with stone floors and walls, and wooden benches. Was very quiet when I was there. Service was perfectly fine. Had a couple of Piebalgas beers, then moved on. Perfectly OK for a couple of ticks, and possibly fun when more people there.

Much similar to a tavern. Graceful tables and chairs in crude wood. Modest chosen of taps beers with some commercial bottles. Medium dimensions place. Cordial staff, not much quick. Food menu looked pretty good. This is a optimal place for a pit-stop a long the long way Brivibas Boulvaris iela.

A reasonable place to have a drink although there only seemed to be 4 beers available on draught. Two of which were from Piebalgas and Lodina so they get more marks for that. The staff were not as rude to me as Phil mentioned but they were not particularly friendly either. Worth a visit for trying Lodina Gaisais on draught.

1st visit: Pointing to interesting pump clip - íWhatís that?í ... íBeer.í ... Walked out.
OK, thatís not the full tale, but there were no interesting beers, only interesting pump clips. The staff hadnít even put the clips on the right beers that they did have, as they were clearly tapping light beer from the dark clip.
Food menu looked pretty good. I didnít stop to find out, I had beers to find and drink (see Bralis Krogs review). (A2:S3:S3:F_:V_:O7=30)
Rerate: Had the two best Piebalgas brews Iíve ever had, actually really tasty and only slightly quirky. Food menu is indeed good, the two beef dishes Anna and I had were oneís weíd have again with no hesitation. Staff was cooperative, but not exactly swift. Didnít ask any questions, so donít know the competence. Bumping up rating in all slots apart from selection.
