This heritage pub has to be a stop on any beer tour of Belfast, not only does is serve real ales but its decadent saloon style interior is a must to be seen. Itís aptly Victorian in style on Great Victoria Street and very handy if you are meeting someone or waiting for a specific mode of transport across the road in the bus and train station. Itís colourful exterior is matched inside by a glorious combination of elaborate designs in the floor, walls and furniture. Seating is a little limited on the ground floor but if you can get into one of the stalls they are a very unusually private place to drink with doors still attached that fully close. Food is served here and obviously prices are a little more here than in other places.

UNESCO Heritage site for Pubs. Awesome place bring you back in history, the numerous details donít be afraid to ask about them. Some nice beers are sold here too.

Great bar and must visit while in Belfast. There is a lot of history and the decor is very special. I had some pretty good beers and some very good food. Unfortunately the service was very slow...friendly...but slow. Still a great place to stop while in Belfast.

wow- this was the popular beer stop in town, the place was packed!! .. had 5 casks with local stuff, another 10 or so taps of stuff- maybe 2-3 were craft. a very aesthetically pleasing place. tiny bathroom. friendly patrons. busy bartenders. worth a stop in if in the area. .. and a TIP! . if its crowned go all the way to the right side (by the bathroom) of the bar- youíll get service there!

Very nice interior and a decent selection of beer on tap. Pretty crowded on a Saturday afternoon. Well worth a visit.

Very amazing interior- one of the super English old school pub feels Iíve seen with stained glass and extensive wood work. Awesome privacy booths with high surrounding walls were nice with our group. The beer selection wasnít amazing, but Iím fairly confident there was more than just Whitewater beer on tap/beer engine. Food was fish and chips style with some curries. Typical English fare. At night, it was pretty packed to the gills in here so youíll need a booth to sit down and eat. Very easy here to chat with the locals. Most people were surprised any visitors would come to Northern Ireland, let alone a local pub. But this place was easy to find, on the main drag, not too far from the Capitol building.

A great historic interior with many of its original fittings. Snob screens, privacy booths and plenty of tiling and giltwork. Beers are all from the whitewater brewery and can be a bit on the pricey side as you would expect from its tourist accessible location. Worth a visit just to see the interior if nothing else!
