Nice place outside of downtown. Amazing selection, also of Dutch beer. Snacks, no food. Good reading material and a few special taps. Since itís on the way from the railway station to my parents I will come here more often.

Nice bar with a good selection of Belgian and international beers. Enough special brews for a long night of tasting.

Not the most appealing ambiance you can think of when entering a pub. However an experienced beer freak knows that most of time those are the best places to be. They put their energy in their beers. Not their looks. And this is a good example. A very nice selection of beers, something thatís not very common in the north of the Netherlands. On top of that very friendly staff that know their beers. Not afraid to tell you - when they discover youíre just a bit more interested - that a mediocre beer is a mediocre beer and advice you something better in the same style. Keep up the good work.

Reasonably small bar thatís popular with students but not as busy as Pintelier. Reasonable selection of beers, mostly Belgian, but a couple of interesting ones hidden away in the fridge. Worth popping into if youíre in the area.

nice place popular with the students and also 2 friends of mine. Good atmosphere. Good choice of taps and bottled beers. More interesting choice than the Pintelier which only seems to have Belgians.

Authentic little back street student bar, even down to the garish seventies wallpaper. Oak aged Rodenbach on tap and Sink The Bismark behind the bar, looked the best option in town to me.
