Elvira Cervecería

Not sure what to think about this place. Basically it’s a hole in the wall on the extremely busy Insergentes Sur. Some parts of the decor seem to have been really worked with, while others, like the installation of the TV is ghetto-ish. At my first visit I was overwhelmed by all the boards signalling a huge number of Mexican micros available. However only the Heineken was currently running, and there was only two lonesome (but very interesting!) Mexican bottles in the frdige. However the barlady told me this was temporary - tomorrow they would be at full swing. Returned some days later - and much to my enjoyment there was now a good selection of Mexican microbrews available, but only 1-3 bottles of each type, and still only Heineken on tap. Returned a third time to find the fridges almost as unstocked as my first visit, and still only Heineken on. So, this place may be a place to check out for some rare ticks (on a good day) but I simply don’t understand the concept. No food available.
