Enormous Czech inspired brewery hall

nice big place. They were brewing when we were there which was a bonus. Quick service. The beers were pretty nice.

Great big place and interesting but we were there on the wrong day. Not a smile in sight. Everything was a problem, 20 mins plus interpreter to get Da (ice ) in the coke. The beer was great when I got one but the food was a disaster so we left and walked on, there is so much good food and beer in Hanoi, no need to struggle

I’d say the redeeming feature of this place is the awesome glasses which simultaneously rip off Breznak and Pilsner Urquell. Massive, over-airconditioned barn of a place where rich locals go to demonstrate just how rich they are and get nicely drunk. Beers loaded with diacetyl on our visit. The snacks we had were quite average, and service was pretty crappy once they realise we weren’t there for a proper meal. Meh.

Strange place, flat vibe, basically an impersonal business lunch spot. Not really beery or oriented towards bar/drinking culture. Large place off a main street, one flight up from ground level. No actual bar, more a restaurant. Extensive menu, food is not bad, not great. Not a memorable experience.

The brewing kettles are visible just behind the bar, and the guys were brewing on the day of my visit, with the smell of cooked malt wafting through the air. That was one of the few highlights unfortunately. The beers are well below average and the food was just plain scary. The service was hard to flaw though, with a few girls waiting the bar. I seem to have gotten used to the constant bombardment of questions I get thrown everywhere I go in SE Asia and elsewhere - the "Who are you?", "Where you from?", "How old you?", "What you do?". "Well", I say, "my name’s Nate, I’m from Aus, I’m 26 and I’m a wandering neanderthal that drinks excessively to make me forget my insecurities and continual bad judgments I make on a day to day basis - say has anyone told you you’d make a great wife?" To sum it up...come for the possibility of meeting your next ex-wife, or come for the beers, or don’t. The choice is yours.

Place at the busy big street. Muilti storey Czech beer hall type place. Equipment visible in the middle of main hall. Logo is Gambrinus rip off. Lots of personnel, we got own personal servant ... Three own beers.

(Visited May 2008) Huge place along the busyTrang Quang Khai. Lots of shiny copper on display and with the usual massive anmount of service around. Had their three beers at the bar, the ywere correct but not overly full of character. A decent brwepub, but not my top choice in Hanoi.
