62 Lovely setting next to the Mekong. Free wi-fi. Good service. A bit expensive though but you are paying for the location. A flight of 6 of their own beers was 11$ |
62 Basically the hotel bar in a swanky hotel that brews it's own beer. There are typically six taps available. Flights of all six beers are available for 11 Dollars. This place is perhaps the most expensive place to buy beer in the city, so come before 18:00 to get -30% for Happy Hour. Right by the river, so nice views if you sit outside. Friendly service. |
72 Well, I was afraid this place will be too noble for us. But no way. Staff is very polite and welcoming, in air-conditioned Oyster restaurant we was alone, only with our sets of 6 samplers (for reasonable price 7.5$). Beer was clean, tasty, but no star. |
75 Beer hunting in Southeast Asia gives you some very pleasant surprises, and the Himawari Hotel is one of them. Take a seat in the garden before dusk, overlooking the Tonle Sap river and ask for their sampler tray. Their beers are tasty and the service is polite and friendly, even though their knowledge of beer is limited, but you'll feel like top of the world. Did't try their food, but the peanuts were excellent. Not to be missed. |
74 After i went the first time during the promoted opening hours but pretty early, there was no service at all. I gave it a second chance just because i walked past a few days later. This time very friendly and motivated service, good beer and so many free peanuts! It is a pretty place just next to Mekong in a pretty Hotel. Worth a visit if somebody is there to serve you! |
62 Good beer and available as a flight of 4. You sit in the hotel lobby and feel pretty rich. Really nothing to complain about. My favourite place in Phnom Penh but still not a must. |
36 The taproom is located at the back of the hotel and easy to find. Service was a bit scattered but they were friendly enough. 4 beers on tap, available on a sampler tray for $4 plus tax ($4.83 US), or 330mL pours for $5 (or larger sizes). Beer itself is pretty forgettable but clean enough. Ambience was odd, as there was no one else there (on a Saturday evening). If you’re in PP, it’s convenient enough to get to and worth it for the few ticks. But it’s not a must stop. |
68 Visited here on Sat 6th Feb. At first there was no one behind the bar but a server soon appeared. Started with a tasting flight of the four beers, mostly pretty good, then had some big ones because I got talking to a couple staying there. Yes it’s expensive but really no more than the average "craft beer" place in the west. Certainly worth a visit if you are in Phnom Penh. |
56 Very nice ambiance and service. Half the beers were very decent (I had four). The biggest problem, however, was the value, way above other places in Phnom Penh and they also charge a 10% service fee, which I thought was just too much. My poor friend ended up paying USD 4.4 for a can of coke. A rip-off, but once youve tried everything PP has to offer beer-wise, this is where you should go. |
