90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 promontor (3) , Hungary | June 10, 2012 Beer is wonderful here 3 Postřiinské beers with unforgettable heads and tastes. This small (too small, unfortunately) pub is a real Czech oasis in Budapest. Food is also excellent, although the selection is small and the paper plate and plastic forks are disappointing. Yet, Kvargli and hermelin is great, too. A favourite, definitely! | 72 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 13/20 deanso (205) the Hague, Netherlands | May 14, 2012 Nice little place. Good selection of bottled beers. Friendly service and cheap beer. | 74 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 luttonm (96) Belgrade, Serbia | April 25, 2012 Small and comfy pub, wooden walls and beer stuff all over the walls. Nice local and student hang out in the center, with good beer and cheap prices. Good bottle selection for the tiny space. Would definitely drop by again. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 3fourths (1082) Boulder, Colorado | December 1, 2011 small roomed smoky czech beer bar filled with dudes, of course. 3 taps seen, some bottles. fun vibe. | 86 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 Tim Webb (173) Cambridge, England | November 13, 2011 Oh for goodness sake guys life is not just about beer, its about pubs too and this one is a cutey. A single front room a block and a bit off the nearest main road, only found if you know where it is, dedicated to chatter and drinking, tiny and friendly, what more can yoy want? No doubt easiest to find space before 20.00 but go anyway. | 60 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 13/20 ogivlado (270) Zagreb, Croatia | November 1, 2011 Very small and cramped place which can hold not more than 25 people (about 2 p.m. we were only guests). Mostly Postriinske beers with few others. Unfortunately just one new for me. OK place, not expensive. | 66 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 rosenbergh (334) Helsinki, Finland | October 12, 2011 As already said by others: Postřiinské on three taps, some (6) other Czech brews on bottles. Very small (5 tables) yet cozy pub. Hrabal memorabilia on the walls. Barmaid didnt speak English but it wasnt problem thanks to friendly help of fellow customer. Also quite cheap. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 9/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 Marko (188) Split, Croatia | September 27, 2011 A shrine to Hrabal and his beers in the middle of Budapest. Boasts a nearly full Postrizinske range, with 3 beers on tap. Pardubicky Porter and Pernstejn Vilem were also available when I was there. Small, slightly dark and atmospheric yet clean, which is cool. Good service, English spoken. Beer from 250 to 450 HUF, which is cool. A very good place to get some Czech ticks, And one of better places to drink here overall. | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 Teachrman (1) , Hungary | July 5, 2011 Friendly service (barmaid speaks English with a Portsmouth accent), great munchies, wonderful Czech beer, nice cosy place to relax for a few hours. | 74 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 8/15 FOOD 5/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 hurut (2) , Hungary | March 17, 2011 A nice (but unfortunately very small) pub which tries to import the Czech model to Hungary. Three Postřiinské-beers on tap, some more in bottle. The waitress books your consumption on a little piece of paper. Czech-style beer snacks: hermelin, utopenec, zavináč, quargel. Actually, it does make a quite unique atmosphere, Budapest-wise, at least. |
