For China the selection and prices are outstanding. They now have 3 locations in Shanghai-the food is a bonus. Have been living in Shanghai for 8 years and it was a beer void until this place opened a few years ago

Cozy, small, stone walls and wood floors. Conducive to mellow drinking and conversation. Expat crowd has some corporate types. Not a geeky bar, but a good one. Decent selection, Trappists, etc. One suggestion I’d have would be to bring the bottle to the customer. This location does not serve food except peanuts, but the other Kaiba has a full kitchen. They have happy hour weekday early evening, and also specials on Trappists, etc on some days of the week.

Cozy place in the French Concession. It’s hidden a little bit off the street. They have 3 taps with Belgian beer and the bottle selection is heavy on Belgians as well. They have Trappist Tuesdays and an evening happy hour for drafts. One of China’s good emerging beer spots.
