Sorry, but this place is to be avoided. Bartenders know nothing about beer. Prices are "over-parisians" (8,5€ for a french 33cl). Maybe good for dumb tourists, but nothing more.

Don’t waste your time. First, all the beers on tap are terrible or commonplace, and there are only 6 taps, not 14. Second, there is no happy hour (unless of course they just rip off Americans). Third, it’s very expensive, presumably because it’s by Jardin du Luxumbourg. If you want good beers on tap, go to Mayflower (Karmeliet and sometimes Maredsous and Chouffe) or Vieux Chene (Karmeliet and Chouffe). Both are on Moufftard and have real happy hours (5 or 5.50 euros for 50 cl).

La Gueuze was my favorite cafe we visited in Paris. The selection of beer is rather astounding, and the food is wonderful. They also do ice for the cold drinks as iced tea which is rather unusual in Paris. I can understand that people want to judge service and value by AMERICAN standards, but that is the wrong idea. It is NOT the sort of thing one wants to RUSH THROUGH! The entire staff was extremely friendly and polite, but, we always find that one is treated with about the same manner as one will treat others. (This means that pushy, unfriendly people are treated in like manner.) Insofar the selection (of beers) I believe I counted well more than 50, and 14, I believe on tap. Insofar the food, we had four different dishes since we returned for a second trip, and they were all excellent. The Mousse au Chocatat was the best we had in Paris! Insofar as value, judged as a function of the quality of everything, it was excellent. Hope to return some future time!

The waiters and manager are extremly impolite and unfriendly. They won’t let you sit on the patio unless you’re having a meal with your beer. The beer selection is decent but right behind the Pantheon, you can find dozens of better bars at Rue Descartes or Rue Moufetard.

A typical top-tier Paris beer bar that aims at the Belgian restaurant concept, well spotted between the Panthéon and Luxembourg Gardens. While top-tier for Paris, it would not even be on RB if it were in one of the great Belgian beer cities. Expensive prices with pints playing in the 8 euros range, but otherwise, the selection is quite decent, though you will find mostly broadly distributed Belgians and few obscure French ales. Not really worth seeking, but a decent stop if you long for a beer in Paris.

Went here last night during the fête de la musique, so there was a live rock band playing just out on the street. The place should appeal to beer lovers with plenty of old bottles from obscure Belgian brews in cabinets around the eating/drinking area. The selection is quite vast by Parisian standards (which, granted, isn’t saying much by global standards) and there are plenty of the aforementioned Belgians available by the bottle. Also plenty of brews from other parts of the world - maybe 50 different imports are available. Prices are quite high, €8 and up for a bottle, but that’s a rather standard price for Paris (sadly). They also offer a 50cl glass of some house beer for €5 if you’re cheaping out, which is actually a very good deal for Paris. Worth a stop on your way to the Pantheon, which is just down the street.

Trying hard to be an authentic Belgian bar and for the non-geek will hit the mark. I found it a little contrived but there’s no faulting the depth of the bottle list (at least 50) and a reasonable range of French beers. Expense for my Australian tastes (ie prices are like those found in Oz!) - expect to pay 7 euro+. Not a repeast visit for me. Don’t forget the free popcorn.

La Gueuze Has a fair selection of beer, I found most of the good Belgians also Satan, Spatten, Jenlain, l’Aiguille Blanche,& Hoegaarden Grand Cru to name a few, I enjoyed the ambiance and the staff were very attentive, this place is in my top 5 to visit when staying in Paris.

The beer selection is not too big, but they have some good British beers on tap. And they provide you popcorn all the time to keep you thirsty, never saw that in a beer-pub. Nice place to hang out, but not that special
