An old colonial house converted into a restaurant, a beer shop and a bar. Interior is stylish dark wood and plenty of beer shelves, while the pation is more low key - comfortly shaded by big trees.
Beers are mostly British and Belgian, Some French beers as well. No African beers though.
The kitchen is quite inventive and really good. I had a kriek marinated pork steak garnished with perfectly cooked vegetables and a fruity sauce served with Kasteel Rouge, The comprehensive menu suggests suitable beers to go with your meal. The uniformed and friendly staff will help you select a beer if you cannot manage on your own.
Managed to steer my family to this place for an excursion lunch during our vacation - and Iím really happy that I did. My sister-in-law had an a-ha moment and bought home two bottles of Kasteel Rouge with her.
I really loved this place and will definitely go there again on my next visit to Mauritius. Highly recommended!
