Geweldige locatie.

Awesome central location overlooking the lake and the busy streets of Hanoi. Great spot for watching the crowds. Just two beers available, though they were out of the dunkel on my visit. Beers available in three sizes, with the small costing 50K dong. Service is pretty weak - inattentive and not too friendly. They accept credit card. Worth a visit for the ticks and the nice location when in Hanoi’s centre.

Great location overlooking the lake. Decent sized outdoor area too. They have two of their own beers plus a tiny bottled selection. I guess the only reason to come here is the view and a couple of rare Vietnamese ticks. I always wonder why the Vietnamese never use their own coffee in locally brewed beers! Maybe they should.

Legend Beer is on the north-west side of Hoa Kien lake on the second floor. Small beers are 42,000 dong so priciest in town but by far the most convenient taproom in Hanoi for tourists, they had a lager & a Dunkel when I went. Great lake views and efficient staff. Plus free wifi.

Can’t beat the view, but then again with five other restaurants vying for space the whole complex acts as a great way to waste a few hours just breathing in the chaos of the traffic below. Open plan set up with attentive young staff and a mish-mash of Western and North/South Vietnamese dishes available. Good to see the tankard glasses for serving the beer, so a few of those were emptied. Asked to take a glass with me for safe keeping and they were more than happy for me to do that. The beer is tasty, the food just a little expensive compared with street vendors just down the way. Not a bad place just to overlook the lake!!

Easy to find, everything below is still true. The beer is well drinkable especially liked the dark one. Not brewed on the location, the brewery is some distance out of town as he now has 6 outlets.

A nice view over Hoan Kiem Lake in the centre of Ha Noi. A tourist place. Not so Vietnamese but fairly good anyway

The first brewpub everyone visits in Hanoi. Very convenient location, and the view’s pretty good - more for the traffic than the lake itself. Very expensive for Vietnam, but I think they’ve got the best pale beer in Hanoi. Was quite underwhelmed with the food, especially for the prices. Only the two beers when I was there, like everyone else it seems. A bit of a sterile vibe, not surprising given the location I guess. Good for getting away from the heat after walking around the lake.

Great view of lake, inside and out. OKAY lager, fair Dunkel. Obnoxious smokers but no distracting TVs. Pop music CD sounds almost covered blaring traffic horns. Friendly staff with good English proficiency. Wheelchair accessible via lift. Reasonable prices. Ex. $2 500ml mug. Must check back for Weizen and Munich.
