This place seemed more like a library reading room than the cozy atmosphere of K-Bar, but has its own charm too. No food was served during the time of day we visited but we enjoyed a few Icelandic beers. Overall an average place but above average for Iceland.

Large place right on the main drag. Downstairs was closed when we visited in the early afternoon, so it must be even larger. All taps were from Viking, and mainly not very interesting, but they had a reasonable number of bottles. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Food served after 2. Worthwhile stop.

Nice bar with quite decent food. Not the most interesting selection, but 5 or 6 taps, mainly from the big brewers and then bottles from at least Ölvisholt and Borg. Service is sometimes slow, but quite friendly. Fairly decent prices compared to other places we visited.

A busy bar that’s located on the main street. They have a good selection of bottled beers from Icelandic micros. Worth a visit if you like lively pubs/bars.

Hostel bar vibe, which can be aggravating if you’re not into the simple conversations of 22 year old strangers. But because it’s a young crowd of travelers they offer a selection of Icelandic craft beer including Gaedingur and Borg and Einstok. Prices average to high for the city.
