I have been to Sergio’s twice and neither experience was all that great. Service and pricing were both non existent. So when all is said and done you tell someone what you had and they make up a total off the top their head ridiculous. They do indeed have a nice selection of beer and if you have the extra money and the time to wait on service you might be able to try something new.

While it is quite a whole in the wall, ones you are inside Sergio’s you are in a different world! A HUMONGO selection of beer from all over the globe, great food, and service to boot!!

LOVE SERGIO’S! A billion beers to choose from literally...Sergio is very friendly and usually working the bar and remembers me everytime I come in...to the reviewer "Smoosh" who couldn’t find prices, there is ALWAYS a printed updated price/beer list at the front bar where you order, ask and you shall receive haha...I have never had a bad time here, usually when I go during the week or on a sunday it is quiet and not busy to the point of annoyance which is awesome, even when its busier there is always a place to sit...can’t say enough good things...

I’ve been to Sergios a couple of times and I’m just not quite sure how to feel. The food I’ve had has been good, but pricey. The beer selection is amazing, *but* I would love to see a price list. The strangest thing was at the end of the night Sergio came up and asked what I had. I rattled it off and he did some calculating in his head and came up with a number ... just odd.

Sergios World Beers in Louisville, KY is overwhelmingly the most intense showcase of fine beer and ales I have ever seen assembled in one single location. Falstaff in Montparnasse (Paris) has a large selection but not this large. Every beer has its own glass. One can just sit and stare at all the ephemera hanging everywhere and the crowd is likely doing the same. No credit/debit service so I felt the need to lower the service score. However, direct service is attentive and unique. Maybe a pub in the Scottish highlands is the only other public place I’ve seen that asked me at bill time what I had?

This place is mine and my husband’s go to place when we have a sitter! I love the way I feel very welcomed by the staff as soon as I walk in! Beer selection is #1 anywhere I have been. Staff is willing to help you in a selection of beer based on your tastle. Food menu is great, something for everyone, and huge portions, no fluff menu. Drink serious beer, eat awesome food. I always look forward to going back to Sergio’s! Thank goodness for GREAT BEER AND SERVICE in Louisville!

I fell in love with this place as soon as I walked in the door...a nondescript entrance with no sign, but with hints all around it, like glasses on window ledges and European flags visible from the street. Once I professed my love of beer, the three regulars who were there on a Sunday night greeted me like an old friend. I’ve seen larger selection, but I have never met an owner who cared so passionately about his beer selection. Serge is a treasure if only for the correct pronunciations and insights into Euro breweries.

beccachinn -- Are you nuts?! Comments don’t make much sense here. Anyways, anyone out there wondering about Sergio’s, it’s an excellent place! They have the best selection of taps around and they are always kept up on their Facebook page. Their food is also very good and better than it used to be after their old cooks moved away to Oregon. The kitchen folks they have now really know how to fix a good meal. So have a beer, and snacks... The wontons are my favorite. I’m there every Tuesday night, for the best deal in the city!

Sergio’s does have quite a large beer selection, but my first impressions of this place were somewhat disapointing after it was hyped up by several friends. I’m not even going to hate on the "cash only" stuff...the service I had there was what made me not want to go back. We waited forever to be helped at the bar, then the guy was rude and not very helpful in suggesting anything. We finally sat down in the back and ordered food that was not good and everything was overpriced. I know lots of people love this place and I should probably give it another chance, but I haven’t been back since. Also, the new place on Bardstown Rd is kind of a joke. It’s inside the Mexican restaurant and the beer I had there either had cleaner in the glass or was just really bad, because it was literally the worst beer I have ever had, I couldn’t even finish it.

This place is incredible. Great atmosphere. Great people too. The crowd is always people who appreciate good artisan brews and are friendly. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly as well. Sergio is a great guy and very humble. Not some stuck up snob at all. I love this bar and would recommend it only to a true beer lover who would appreciate its level of awesomeness. It is a gem. Over 1000 beers to choose from.
