The Tavern is a pub that has fallen from grace somewhat in the last few years. Itís prices have risen dramatically and the food quality has dropped. That is not to say it isnít worth a visit however. It is still a good sport pub. The amount of tv screens are a sight to behold. There must be around 100 ( not exagerating). The beer is very consistent. I for one have never had a bad pint here be it Abbot Ale or Heineken, they also offer Stella and Hoegarden. As mentioned the prices are a little high and the food is generic pub fodder at an inflated price. A happy hour has eventually been introduced to compete with the ever popular Carnegies and Brass Monkey. Indeed now between 6-8 beer is buy one get on free. Overall Iíd still recommend this place if you want to watch sport in Taipei. The manager Michel can be rude and insulting however, I just hope you catch him on a good day.
