Popped in here during a two day visit to the lovely town of Sandefjord. Ok selection of beers at eye watering prices (bloody hell, Norway is such an expensive country), the wine selection looked impressive though if that's your thing. Service quite decent, but I much preferred the Swedish equivalent Systembolaget, and my wallet did too!

5 min walk from the harbor and about 10 min walk from the train station. A better selection than many other vinmonopol due to their status as a special vinmonopol. Well wort a vist. You wil probably find many interesting bottles

Et av de bedre polene i norge , og er verdt bryet å stikke innom når du er på de kanter.

Ok, so it’s rather expensive, but not more than the other Vinmonopolet stores. The selection is much broader though, with lovely beers from Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Belgium, USA and other places. As well as a nice array of Norwegian micros of course. Didn’t see many Norwegian beer’s I hadn’t had, three or four only, but I guess the average customer will have plenty to choose from. Not sure how much the staff knows about the beers, but at least they were friendly those who approached us. Not that I needed any advise... Will definitely come back

A good selection of beer, some not available in other than the "special" Vinmonopolet stores (and not listed online). Certainly a decent selection, but not too impressive and it seemed quite random to be honest. Anyway certainly worth dropping by to have a look if one happens to be in the neighbourhood.

I dropped in on my way to Sweden. Why vistit an rather expensive Norwegian beer store when prices are about 50% off in Sweden? Well, Vinmonopolet in Norway no have a better selection, especially imperial stout, porter, IPA and barley wine. This store in Sandefjord offers a special selection as a ugraded state monopoly store. Very professional wine monopoly store, won internal contest as store of the year 3 times ( out of 10?)- only one with more then one victory. Got upgraded to special selection like Vika and others recently. In Sandefjord and surrounding towns, the lack of bottle shops is profound- and this place should be visited if you are nearby. ( however, on selection alone Vika is better). Professional staff & helpful. Nice selection July 2013, will be added to place along with consumption.
