A small corner pub near the railway station, recently done up - lots of scrubbed wood. Three handpubs immediately face you on entry, with some unusual ales for this part of the country; there’s also a few Belgian beers on tap and a short bottled list on a blackboard that includes Kernel. A friendly place, but prices are in line with its somewhat trendy appearance.
