Excellent venue - unique craft beers including US ones - excellent staff - no other alternative in Riga, for sure

What an extraordinary development. Out near the embassies and posher shops, a couple of blocks out of the centre from the Old Town. Can I really get 8-Wired in the Baltic States? Plain but classy decor, sound menu and the best international beer selection this side of Helsinki. Three houses beers from De Molen. The token Latvian beer is Tervetes’ better blond. Prices expensive fro Riga but absurdly low for visitors from better-healed parts of the world. Much US, a few German and British, loads of Mikkeller.

Pretty much in the center of the Riga on one of their main street. Very easy to find and pinkish-red color stands out from mostly gray houses. Interior looks new (and it is a very new place), and not settled in jet. Quite a lot of room. Selection is excellent, staff helpful. Must visit place in Riga.

About a 15 minutes walk from the old town, but worth the walk. Spacious bar with 3 sections, a central one where the bar is, and the shrine to US beer in the corner too, and then 2 side rooms if you want to tuck yourself out of the way a bit more. The shrine is fantastic - it’s shelf after shelf of big name US craft brews - at least 100. Prices are very reasonable, a Speedway is less than 16e. Being Latvia - they can sell to take away. We left with quite heavy bags, I can tell you. Staff are friendly, and speak good English. Hosts special tasting events and festivals, I hope the recent "melna ziemas" (black winter) festival gets repeated. House beers were tasty too - both ales. Food menu looked tempting, but we’d just come from Lido when we went there on the day after the festival. The cherry on top is that the overlap between this and Brevinga is quite small, so a trip out of town to get one of them should always be turned into a trip to both of them. With this on the map, Riga can now consider itself a great town for beer. Well done Gordon and crew!

Great selection of US beers. Friendly staff. Nice place to have some ALEhouse home brews and guests, as well as have some snacks.

Nice place to come to have a beer. Selection is mostly american ales/beers, so a bit monolithic. House has their own brews - good ones. Liked burger with fish and sauce with basil and mushroom soup. Host place for homebrewers meetings. Update: since S.Brevinga has moved from Berga Bazârs to this plase - off course more good kraft beer, personel who knows the stuff, a bit overloaded at weekends, but main reason why I’m visiting this "house" is no doubt - beer. I lack more samples from Belgium, Germany, other Europe.
