Good bar to find decent beers while waiting 2 hours for a freaking pool table. Good indie jukebox too.

Cozy bar with the best selection of bottles anywhere in the state. Bartenders are just that, don’t expect any knowledge of the beer. Because of really lax distribution in NM you won’t find anything here that you won’t find in Jubilation, Quarters, Kokoman, or Kelly’s. Nice upstairs bar though. Good pool tables. Gets really noisy with college kids on the weekends.

It’s a big place, and I didn’t even realize it was upstairs exclusively - lots of pool tables and a small bar, dark setting, it was very comfortable. The jukebox had one of the more interesting selections of music I’ve seen, but we finally got some Motorhead playing. The bar is composed of a million little pieces of brewania and brick-a-brack encased in plastic - it rocked. And the server... imagine a fit young blonde with a sexy Welsh accent who might actually know more about beer than you. The beer selection is awesome, even if it is 90% bottles. While they had Arrogant Bastard and SNPA on draft, we were drinking bottles of Duvel, Avery Twelve and Celebrator. Good times.

kind of a dark dive bar look, but good selection of Avery and North Coast, Left Hand, and Arrogant Bastard. Great jukebox list, and pool tables don’t hurt. my only downtown bar.

Very cool place with pool tables and a nice bottle selection plus 5-6 on tap! Friendly staff, but not with the highest beer-knowledge. Really a nice place if you just want to kick back and enjoy a couple of good beers.

With Whaleman and TannerTavernBoys. Great selection of bottles but I couldn’t tell what half of them were unless I recognized the label. I didn’t bother asking the girl behind the bar if I could go back there to see what I wanted because she told me to get out of the way of the waitresses.

I went to this bar back in mid december 2003 with whaleman. We sampled some very good bottled brews including Avery, Lost Coast, Sierra Nevada, Bridgeport and many other west coast companies. A very cool place to chill or play some pool. Nice crowd of good looking women didn't hurt either

A decent selection of bottles are elegantly displayed in a large glass refrigerator behind the bar and the selection turns over fairly regularly. Nice for chilling at the bar and chatting with the staff early, playing pool, or working the scene late. One drawback is the abundant cigarette smoke and poor ventilation.
