Lives up to its reputation. Great selection of beers including Pliny the Elder. Very busy on a Friday night

Somehow every time I go to Portland we end up here until close. They have an insane selection. They supposedly always have a secret Pliny tap, but they were out last week. Some people think the place is a little snotty, but I don’t really get it. Stop being douchebags. Every bartender I’ve interacted with has been nothing but nice. Don’t listen to any of it. They have a huge outdoor space and I guess a lot of people try to sneak in. If you’re visiting Portland, you should go here.

A great little bar with loads of great beers on taps (close to 50), 250 bottles. Built in an old garage, with a big terrase filled wiht picnic tables, communal seating. However, no samplers are offered, nor tasters. No food on premise, but a great little Mexican restaurants is right next door. Great place.

Visited on Tues 6th November ’12 around 2pm. We were the only folks in there till two others arrived around the time we left an hour later so ambiance defaults to a 3. Great selection on tap including FSW - Parabola, Boneyard Suge Knite ’11 and plenty of other big beers. Bar tender was attentive and helpful and gave us a few samples to try. Beers are displayed on an electronic screen by the bar. Definite place to come again just hope to see a few more bodies in the place and crank the atmosphere up a little !

A top notch beer bar in trendy SE Portland, right across the street from Beermongers and within short walking distance from Green Dragon, Cascade, Hair of the Dog, Lucky Labrador, Lardo... Phew! I could unfortunately not stay very long as they do not accept anybody under 21 not even on the large terrace packed with picnic tables. Nevertheless, it seems to be the beer bar with the best selection in town. The 50 taps or so contain a lot of top offerings. One of the rare places in Portland that seems to have a constant supply of Russian River and one of these places where one beer out of two you’d like to drink anytime. Not an extraordinary atmosphere in there to be honest, but the beer is worth staying for a while. The crowd is relatively young and hipster, but that’s true of so many of Portland’s beer spots. I did not interact much with the staff, but they seemed professional and courteous. Did not eat. I’d definitely be back and possibly more than once if I come back to Portland for more than a few days.

50 taps all in a row. This place just didn’t do it for me. Hey, I’d piss myself if it was in Coeur d’Alene but not Portland. Although many interesting beers nothing that really stood out. Had a German pils then went to HotD. No ambiance, The place seemed aimed at the younger crowd and the Portland hipsters. I’d check ’em again but it wouldn’t be of high priority. No food, and if you want to pick up something next door you have to walk around the perimeter fence. A big sign on the wood fence that blocks off the easy access to the restaurant says "Jump the fence get kicked out."

Better selection than Baileys. The bar didn’t have the pub type feel I like, but I didn’t care when they had Pliney, 120, and loads of other stuff that were first tries for me. Drank about 5 glasses and played pinball. Didn’t even look at the bottle selection. Only ding was the ambiance.

Wide range of beers on tap presented on a large monitor. A fairly good selection of bottled beers and even some nice vintage brews. Small interior but a very large terrace area to where you can order food from the fast food restaurant next door. Worth a visit.

Just went for one, as I had no time. Dingy, loud, crazy place but completely unpretentious. Tons of great beer on tap, over 250 bottles that I didn’t even both to look at. I love it.
