6 reviews for Arvad’s Grill and Pub
| SFLpunk (11), South Burlington, Vermont | | June 13, 2009 Stopped in last week after playing frisbee golf in Waterbury Center.
Great bottle list for a place that doesn’t seem focused on "The Beer," at least not in appearances. Draft list was kinda wanky though. Settled on a pint of Rock Art Ridge Runner, not a typical call for me, but seemed to be the best thing on. Ordered the Salmon Burger. It was a bit overcooked (dry), but not bad.
Server was funny, food was ok (not great), and my beer was served properly.
Not a bad joint, but not really a beer destination. It’s really not bad, but it’s really not great, either. Sorry mates. | | jason (43), Easton, Pennsylvania | | June 25, 2008 Stopped in for a quick lunch with the family. Nice little bar and restaurant that has a decent beer selection - small but decent. | | josarah (70), Hinesburg, Vermont | | February 27, 2008 Nice resturant next door to the Alchemist, Good place for a simple Sunday brunch, Ok beer selection. Nothing really wrong with it, the older & less beer savy crowd seems to enjoy it. Like I said to start with, The Alchemist is next door, point made. | | muzzlehatch (255), Burlington, Vermont | | August 12, 2006 Hmm, surprised this place hadn’t been listed. Well, it DOES have a pretty big and interesting beer list -- for Vermont -- but really it’s not worth your time unless, like those worthy Montrealites whose reviews lie below mine, you just don’t want to wait for the Alchemist. Some decent local beers including occasional seasonals/specials from Otter Creek & Long Trail, but really mediocre food and ridiculous prices for fairly standard, common imports make this a skippable choice. | | Goldorak (110), Montreal, Quebec | | July 28, 2006 Practically next to the Alchemist, we went there to eat because there was a monster lineup at the brewpub. Family style restaurant with a bar. Decent service. Bottle list has no prices, some of the bigger bottles and imports have an asterisk next to them, with a note saying You’ll probably need to take a loan to pay for this Beer. Chimay, a few decent micros and plenty of imported crap. Tap list includes a few Vermont locals like Magic hat and Long Trail. My pint of Harpoon IPA tasted a little stale. My pulled pork plate was okay at best, and a bit pricey. Next time we’ll endure the lineup next door.
