| drpimento (120), La Crosse, Wisconsin | | February 8, 2012 Went there a couple of times today (says something), Staff were super cool. Had an NZ APA that I haven’t had elsewhere, and it was good too. Food was excellent. Pretty small place; still cozy and decent. Convenient location too. Prices were in line.Clean glassware & staff that verifies before serving. If I ever get back here, I’ll return. | | TimE (189), Tokyo, Japan | | October 11, 2011 They now have seven taps, with four being Emersons. Great staff, nice food, AWESOME view. More of a cafe with good beer than a pub. I would recommend more as a daytime place, rather than night time. Nothing on the menu is going to blow you away too much, but they make an effort and as a tourist, you will surely get a couple ticks from bottles and tap. Must visit when in Queenstown. | | TheGrandMaster (102), Auckland, New Zealand | | April 17, 2010 I love the small bars big on beer. Great vibe and people were spilling out on the wharf in the early evening hours. Didn’t eat, but somehow the chef was pumping the food out of a very tiny kitchen. A savior to the beer lover in Queenstown. | | phaleslu (241), Saint Louis, Missouri | | October 14, 2009 Atlas Beer Cafe is right on the wharf in Queenstown, part of the Steamer Wharf shopping center. The bar/restaurant is small and seems new. The bar faces the main windows out to the wharf, and there are some tables around the side and back. There was a pretty sizable crowd for an otherwise slow Thursday night in Queenstown. The food looked tasty and was reasonably priced but we were only there to drink. Atlas serves primarily Emerson’s and Invercargill beers; 3 of the 4 taps are Emerson’s and the other is Invercargill. There were 4 more Emerson bottles in addition to several "mainstream" NZ bottles. The place is small, simple, hip but unpretentious, and certainly worth a visit if you’re looking for Emerson’s and can’t make it down to Dunedin. |
