70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 14/20 radarsock (33) Massachusetts | April 10, 2013 Not overly impressed with this one, but I’d visit again if in the area. Spacious interior; winding bar. Some harder-to-find New England brews alongside decent house cocktails. However even on particularly slow days, it was quite difficult to get the attention of our bartender. She had also told us, snottily at that, that bands don’t play music at their bar, but when I peaked on their website I saw quite a few artists scheduled to play in the near future. Jeremy Lyons was one of these performers; it frustrated me since he’s from one of my favorite bands. I’ll give these guys another shot but it’s not looking too good. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20 Travlr (999) Washington, Washington DC | September 9, 2012 Small place dominated by a large bar and tons of wood. Small performance space in the back, and no TVs, thankfully. Friendly staff nice list of mostly local stuff. Worth a look. | 82 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 womencantsail (389) Garbage Grove, California | August 15, 2012 Nice suggestion by bring to stop in here as a spontaneous downpour occurred while walking to CBC. Cozy little bar with a nice interior. Pretty sizable tap list, decent prices, friendly staff, and a good crowd in the bar. Would recommend stopping in for a beer. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 lushawn (227) Massachusetts | July 21, 2012| Updated August 3, 2012 nice brick building. old mirrors and such inside that will please your anthropologie loving lady friend. regularly have live music but it is typically past my bed time. outdoor patio is a bonus. one of the better beer spots in boston area. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 14/20 auerbrau (278) Peace Dale, Rhode Island | November 21, 2011| Updated August 3, 2012 Surprised to see that nobody’s reviewed this excellent beer bar. They definitely have a focus on some of the new regional and local breweries, most notably Idle Hands. The prices were fair (high, it’s Boston) and our bartender was knowledgable, friendly, and far from pretentious. It’s a cozy little spot. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the neighborhood for Lord Hobo, Meadhall, or Bukowski’s. |
