| Arve_Christian (68), Oslo, Norway | | March 16, 2012 A nice microbrew, a few hjomemade craft beers. Very good Tarte Flambee to go with the brew | schneidc (2), , Germany does not count - explanation | | December 31, 2011 Great place in central Strasbourg! They have four locally made beers which are decent (ambree) to excellent (blonde). The place is always crammed with people, so best come early. When it is full, you must be quite creative to raise the attention of any waiter (but this is not due to arrogance but to mere workload).
Happy hour is from 5 to 6.30, you get two beers for the price of one and flammkueche for 3€ - what more would you want?
I’m living in a one-hour-radius from the city, and whenever I go into town, I always end up in this place. Strasbourg is full of overpriced tourist traps and you surely won’t get more value for money than in ’Au Brasseur’! | | kubilai (12), , Quebec | | September 25, 2011 Tiny place. They were offering 4 tap + 5 bottles.Mediocre service. We wait almost 10 minutes before someone gives us a Bonjour. We seem to disturb the guy...Decent beers but nothing to go crazy about. The flammenkuche is a must. In resume, try a other place to have :a) fun b) great beer c) a good idea of what Strasbourg is about... | | jaghana (27), Strasbourg (France), France | | June 20, 2010 A very limited place, less kind of beers and the service is bad. Whatever you wanna ask for they will be bdd with you just looking on the money they can do, specially when special offer time. If you come to Strasbourg please choose another place else nothing interesting will happen. | | MrsReaves (14), Tamai, Italy | | May 21, 2008 I found the name of this brewpub in a travel blog of this chick who had lived in Strasbourg while attending University there. She raved and raved about the beer and how great this place was. She obviously was really drunk WAY before she ever got to this place. The service was sorry (pay no attention to the Staff: Helpful rating on the right-it’s a fib) and to only have 4 beers on tap, they weren’t that exciting. The food was the best part although everything that we ate was so heavy and rich that we had to sit for quite some time before we were able to waddle back to the hotel. Overall: Not that great | | sunevdj (41), Copenhagen OE, Denmark | | October 17, 2007 Nice cosy brewpub. Local simple foods, tartes flambées and big salads at fair prices. Also cheep food deals and happy hours. But I didn´t like that they left poured beer on the bar for the (otherwize fine) waiters to pick up after they got the guests orders. Oh, and my brother lives/lived behind the uppermost oval window above the entrance. | | MrRomero (109), Nolanville, Texas | | May 28, 2007 Stumbled onto this place after going to Village de Bier which was closed at the time. The sign outside says "bierstube". Upon entering, it’s a fairly small place that is tightly packed with tables. It was a rainy day so not too many people were here. Only a few people were working and the staff must not have noticed me enter. Seated ourselves and waited for a waiter. They have their 4 beers on tap plus all 4 beers are available to go in fliptop 750ml bottles. The beer is decent but nothing special. It’s good for a quick stop if you’re in this part of town visiting the Village de Bier. |
