Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt

Large touristy place neat the concert house. 4 Augustiner beers on tap. Polite and quick service. Tyroler marches played by brass band in background. They also do food.

Been here a couple of times with visitors. Nice spot to sit for a quick beer while sightseeing in Berlin. Not a must, but always enjoyable

Back in Berlin and I had to visit this place once again. Splendid location. Good beer, but not from wooden barrels this time (they open those after 6). Pretty nice atmosphere but slow service. Munich in Berlin. Not as touristy as expected, but the music is way to laud.

Zu laut. Augustinerbräu bietet mehr, als in der Karte steht. Belüftung könnte besser sein.

A classic Bavarian beer hall. Dark wooden interior and swift and efficient service. We didn’t stay long and I only had a "Schnitt" Festbier for 4 Euro. One of the best Oktoberfest Biers I have had. Maybe because it came fresh from a wooden barrel? Well worth a visit. (Visited September 28th 2016 with Bjarte1)

Good beer hall in berlin. Good beer, good service, outdoor and indoor seating. Not as big as the Hofbrauhaus but the beer at Augustiner is better. Only a few beers on offer, no modern craft beers, just augustiner hell, dunkel, radler(shandy) in 50cl or litre steins.

Visited Christmas Day 2015. Large beer hall, busy and on the pricey side of things, but hey, Augustiner. Can’t go wrong with that.

Big Munich style beer hall by the square and very busy and touristy as expected. Augustiner beers served in half litre and litre pours. I didn’t try the food but it looked to be what you would expect. Not really worth going to in the hunt for craft beer but a reasonable beer hall experience nonetheless.
