Big beer hall close to the train station. We came here rather late at like 11pm. Although opening ours says 1am they were already preparing to close down. The guy at the entrance told us kitchen closed but beers would be OK. The waiter at first wanted us to leave immediately and didnt want to serve us, but then someone talked to him and we were at least allowed some beers. Beers were OK. They had a Helles, a Dunkles and the Edelstoff on offer. Would come back to sit in the beer garden. The place itself was OK, but I dont think I need to return. Overall OK place.

We visited the Augustiner-Keller on 17.10.2015. Typical big beer hall, called Bräustübel in this area. A bit commercial but nicely decorated with a lot of hops and the different coat of arms of the Bavarian provinces. Edelstoff from the wooden cask is for sure the highlight, tasted very delicious. A must visit in Munich.
Visited mostly in the downstairs dungeon.Loud, live schlager-disco music and service far below expectations in Germany. Upstairs at least it was possible to hold a conversation. The Edeltoff served from wood tasted terribly industrial and wasn’t worth a visit. On top of all this, I had a really boring, dry schnitzel. Only go here drunk, in order to stand on tables, sing along and act silly
Well went the night before although hours said they were open we couldn’t get a beer. Came the next day for lunch, traditional German fare, nice selection of their beers room with lots of older Germans. Some young folk drinking age is 16 in Germany The keller looked like it could be fun at night.
Our party of 18 people had reserved tables at a very crowded cellar room with bricked ceilihg and walls, long tables and benches. Band playing German Schlagers and international pop tunes at an extremely high noise level. Very hard to get a proper conversation running without shouting. Beers OK, but nothing special, food ok and came quickly but it was only luke warm. Far better in the flloor above, better service better beers, price level sensible.
