Avenue Wine Cafe is a hidden little craft beer gem on Fifth Avenue South in Naples. While it’s billed as a wine bar, their focus on craft beer seems to be at least equal to their focus on wine. They have a very solid selection of draft beers to go along with both large format and twelve ounce bottles from around the country. The service is top notch and everything is served in proper glassware that isn’t chilled. The bar staff seems to genuinely care about promoting craft beer. If you’re in the Naples area, be sure to check this place out.

Located on the main drag in downtown Naples, avenue wine is somethjg of a beer oasis in this desert. Despite the name, beer seemed to be more prominent than wine. They had 10 taps with a couple of locals. The selection wasn’t particulalrly exotic but it had a couple of things I hadn’t had yet which is all you ever hope for. The vibe was laid back especiallyon their large patio. Like many places in south Florida they sell a lot of cigars. Pretty solid place overall.

Where to start? great location, great service, excellent selection (recently up to 9 taps, all craft stuff - including Cigar City). Cozy, ambiance. We went here twice and loved it. The 50% off at happy hour didn’t hurt, either...

I was recently spending some time with the in-laws in Naples, FL. Since Southwest Florida is something of a beer wasteland it was quite a pleasant surprise to find this place. The marquee proudly displays "Wine, Beer, Cheese, Cigars".
The interior has nice wood furnishings, cabinets which house cigars and wines, comfortable couch-style seating, and some attractive paintings (presumably by local artists). There is also an outdoor patio, to which the cigar smoking is thankfully limited. The aesthetics are very tasteful, and there are a variety of games provided (we used the wine trivia cards, and played some euchre as well). There was one large TV that was showing Thursday night football with the sound off.
Beer was served in appropriate glassware and not overly cold. Everything was clean, other than the unfortunately located single-user washroom that forces one to walk by kegs and boxes in the back. My mother-in-law had some wine, but we didn’t partake in the cheese or cigar side of things.
The tap selection was mediocre, with Stone Pale Ale, a cider, some sort of Euro lager, and Murphy’s. However, the bottle selection was excellent for SW Florida, and feature some things I’ve never seen in Total Wine or at other bars - Oud Beersel Gueuze for instance. Be warned that there is no Cigar City here (at least yet), although that seems to be systemic for Naples/Fort Myers.
I did get a chance to speak with Ashley, the beer buyer and occasional bartender. She was incredibly friendly and helpful, and seemed to really enjoy talking about craft beer, as well as the challenges of running a craft beer bar in SW Florida. I get the sense she’d really like to expand the tap selection, but that management is somewhat conservative.
In any case, if you’re in Naples or Fort Myers your only good choices are The Pub at the Mercato Center and this place.

Great place to go and relax and get some good beer. The bartenders, manager, and owner know their beer and it shows.

Naples is a beer wasteland, so this place is a breath of fresh air. Located in the 5th avenue district, it’s a small venue with a modern, loungy feel. They have cigars, but you have to smoke them outside on the patio. They only have a few taps, and perhaps around 100 bottles give or take (some of which rotate). Nothing rare, but a decent selection that should accommodate any beer geek. I do wish they would have carried some FL beers like Cigar City and St Somewhere. I found that pretty odd that they didn’t.
