| 3fourths (962), Boulder, Colorado | | May 22, 2012 a spectacular assortment of local, regional and imported beer in a shop managed by a very knowledgeable couple. prices as expected for Copenhagen. highlights are the lambic selection and 2008 Oerbier Reserva. | | madmitch76 (69), , England | | May 21, 2012 Now the shop has moved it’s a much nicer, spacious and functional looking beer store. The couple that run it are really nice and obviously beer fans themselves. Selection is very good and there isn’t a huge amount of crossover with Olbutikken so it’s definitely worth winding your way around old Copenhagen to find this gem. The range of beers on offer here is a lot broader than Olbutikken. The only problem here is deciding what not to buy! A real treasure trove! | | MonMadsen (65), , Denmark | | May 21, 2012 Visited July 9th. A little beer shop, now located a bit further away from Strøget. We arrived just as the owner opened the shop. Very welcoming and friendly. The shop has categorized all the beers, so that IPAs, DIPA, stout etc has different coloured labels. A nice way to organize the beers if you know what style you want, a bit confusing if you’re looking for a particular brewery. But on the other hand, just ask. A bit cheaper than e.g. Ølbutikken, but not as many "rare" ones. A must visit if in Copenhagen. | | humlelala (10), , Denmark | | May 20, 2012 My favourite bottle shop in the city centre by far. Owners are very helpful and knowledgeable about beer and the selection is quite varied with perhaps somewhat less emphasis on the newest avantgarde microbrew and slightly more emphasis on the classical grandes bieres than for example Ølbutikken. Considering that this place is so close to the main pedestrian shopping street in the city centre one should definitely pay a visit during a stay in Copenhagen. Prices are reasonable if a bit in the high end - but that’s to be expected considering the location. | | 1980olympics (17), , England | | May 20, 2012 Excellent selection of Danish and world brews. Nice lady ran us through the colour coded label system. This should of made finding the beers easier but I was not looking for anything particular. The selection is spread throughout the shop and a little overwhelming. Very happy to call as I had visited Ølbutikken just prior, and although we arrived within the opening hours it wan not open, no sign, no explanation. Highly recommend Barley Wine though | | banii (22), Trondheim, Norway | | April 28, 2012 Great place for a broad spectre of quality beers. Always helpful and friendly staff. Cosy, small store. | | crosamich (10), Naples, Florida | | April 23, 2012 A great little shop to visit. I would recommend as your first stop. Jan had just opened the new shop I think the week that I was here back in Aug11. Great selection, fair prices, extremely friendly & attentive service. | BTObeer (4), Trondheim, Norway does not count - explanation | | March 30, 2012 Friendly and personal service. Staff shows interest in customers and fulfilling their requests. Selection is more solid than ølbutikken; broader. You might miss a few hard-to-find brews that you’ll find at Ølbutikken, but again; Barleywine has other gems that Ølbutikken doesn’t have.
Shelves are assorted after style; barleywine, stout/porter/ipa/belgian. Prices are better than other places I’ve been to; good stuff. I went to Ølbutikken first and then here, I regret that. Go here first. It makes for a much more personal and enjoyable shoppingsession. | Bondesen (4), Copenhagen, Denmark does not count - explanation | | January 27, 2012 Københavns bedste øl-butik. Ejerne er de sødeste og øl-klogeste mennesker i verden. De belgiske øl er godt repræsenteret, men på lige fod med danske mikro-bryg. Og så har de et skønt udvalg af vin, chokolade og andet lækkert. | | ontbeermaker (127), Ontario | | October 13, 2011 Small little shop just off a very main shopping street, very nice man working the shop, he was helpful. They had a nice selection of the local stuff and imports, only place I’ve seen outside of florida with cigar city. they did still have nogne DH 2. overall it was a nice store, not a huge selection but pretty good. Nice that it was all singles. |
