May possibly be the best place to get unique brews in all of Ontario. The place is small and a little cramped if you come late. Both the bottle and tap selection is amazing.

Probably the most interesting selection of brews in town. Interesting small plates of food. The experience was marred by loud drum and bass music which the staff were reluctant to turn down.

Rustique, confortable avec une terrasse et une sélection impressionnante. Une vingtaine de bières Québécoises en fût étaient aussi disponible. Last call à 23h un dimanche, pas fort.

The draft selection is entirely Canadian micro brew as far as I could tell. The bottle selection includes Westvlteren. That, in my honest opinion is pretty impressive. The ambiance is pretty cool. The bar is pretty small and packed, but there is a patio where I sat, although the rain did get through at least a little. I can see why this place is popular in Canada (the beer store and lcbo is very limited), as this really shows the diversity and experimentation of some Canadian breweries. I had two Canadian sour ales and one Canadian Berliner Weisse. I had no idea Canada even had those styles, and indeed, I wouldn’t know from the LCBO or Beer Store or, for that matter, most other Toronto bars.

This is the establishment that allowed me to pursue my passion for beer. Geeks and connoisseurs alike will enjoy the posh and classy atmosphere and attitude of the bar; though the occasional unworthy mongrel wanders in on $5 pint Mondays. The food is pleasant, but highly overrated and overpriced; hence a tad bit of arrogance. The selection is marvellous for the province of Ontario, and usually the menus are up to date in reflecting their stock, unlike some other establishments (*cough* BierMarkt *cough*). Overall, don’t go there for the food, go there to astound your palate, learn about the craft, ask questions (to us fanatics, the less snobby of us will be willing to share and debate our knowledge), and for Dog’s sake don’t even think about ordering a Jack and Coke...

Great little place to hang out and sip beer. Their rotating local taps list is great, and obviously the bottle selection. A real place for beer connoisseurs, even if the prices are a bit inflated, especially for the bottles. You can pretty much get what you want, but at a price.

Small, so it’s hard to get a table. Staff are knowledgeable but in short supply. Selection is admittedly hard to beat in Toronto. Does get pricey, but you have to pay for the rare stuff that’s hard to get elsewhere.
