This was my favourite pub in Toronto. Loved everything about it. The decor, the atmosphere and the beer. Staff was friendly. I was there on a cheap beer night so I was happy with that. If I lived in the city you would find me here. Who needs cell phones?

What a great place in downtown Toronto. I was there around 6pm, not too many customers but I can imagine how this place can fill up pretty quickly during the night. I tasted their beers (house ales) are there are excellent. Worth the trip!

Have been on many occasions and I love this place for their extensive selection of excellent local and imported beers. Staff are friendly but they’ve recently eliminated table service. The menu is quite limited though I have to say the charcuterie plate we had was excellent. Great place for a beer and light snack.

Great patio in summer, pretty cozy in the winter. Draft list has recently been expanded and is generally one of the best in Toronto. One of the best places to find seasonals and one-offs from Ontario breweries, especially since they tweet the tap list online. Bottle selection is impressive but can be pricey - prices often reflect the exclusivity and rarity of the beers on offer. The menu has been reduced from what they had previously. The meat and cheese boards are great but again, prices reflect the fact that you are getting high quality meats and cheese. Service is always attentive and friendly and generally fairly knowledgeable. May be bar service only depending on time of day. Festivals and special events are VERY popular so plan to get there early.

A small pub in downtown Toronto. It’s got an old, grubby-like feel with tons of beer paraphernalia on the walls and old bottles as well. There’s not too many seats, so I can see how a place like this would get crowded quickly. I visited on one of their event days - "Pre-Cask Days" - so all they were serving was cask beer. There was a decent selection, around 8-10 casks; apparently more would be arriving the next day. All local beers of course, though I guess on regular days they have a more varied selection. The food menu is fairly short; mostly snacks and meat trays. Since this was an event day they didn’t start serving until 5pm. Interesting pub, definitely seems to have the best selection in Toronto in terms of unique beers. Quite pricey though - I don’t know if it was the event or not, but an imperial pint was $8! I’d still say it’s worth a stop if you’re in Toronto and want to try something different.

Cramped space that was probably never meant to fit more than 24 people. Thankfully the patio is large. About 15 taps - a Cider, some house Ales, a mix of Ontario and Quebec craft beer. The bottle list features beer from Canada and across the world, but they’ll cost you. Good service, knowledgeble staff. Food was good. Best bargains here are their taps. Be forewarned - you’ll wait outside for a long time if you show up later for a special event.

Great little place to enjoy some hard-to-find quaffs. Very good draught selection has been augmented by small brewing operation. Service can be slow but they are generally pretty knowledgeable. Unfortunately, small size makes it hard to get in sometimes, but when the patio is open it helps.

Easy to find. The perfect place to spend an evening if you are travelling alone and you want to taste a very good beer. The service is perfect and the selection is wide.

Arrived after 11 pm, kitchen was closed and service was available at the bar only. Cottage like ambiance interrupted by loud hip hop and rap music. Lots of wood and picnic tables. Great selection of beers, definitely the best I have seen, better than the LCBO. Markup seems pretty standard, bottles about 200% of LCBO pricing. They brew downstairs as well. Tried their house Westside IPA, King Pilsner and a bottle of Unibroue La Terrible. Good times, will go again.

This establishment was rated highest in Toronto, so I was looking forward to a very nice evening. Unfortunately, the bartender was pre-occupied with a friend and most of the taps had either Saison or sours, which is great unless you want a good IPA. Overall, I thought the place was okay, but I would not recommend as a first stop in Toronto
