| BlackHaddock (175), , England | | April 3, 2012 Mothers day 2010. My wife and I had spent the day on the Grand Canyon Railway (Williams to the South Rim and back) and the shuttle bus dropped us off at the AmTrack station, 50 meters from here. Our hotel was just past the brewery and as we hadn’t made it in here yet, we stopped off for our tea.
The place is more restuarant than a bar, although the brewing equipment is in full view if you get given a seat towards the windows, as we were. There were a couple of people sitting at the bar, so food isn’t a must. The place was almost full, mothers being treated to a night off from cooking, families enjoying the evening together, nice, but annoying when you want a quiet pint and a pizza, we should have sat at the bar!
The place is open plan with the pizza ovens to your left on entering, the bar and brewing equipment to the right, semi-rustic-woody-homely look to it as a whole.
The waiting staff were fine and friendly, the pizza’s too big, we needed doggy bags. Couldn’t get excited about their beers though, nothing wrong with them, but nothing stood out about them either. The Brew and Cue part appeared completely empty (21.00 on a May Sunday), so after or meal we headed back to our motel beds via the fridge which I’d stashed some goodies into.
| | musinj6 (19), St. Louis, Missouri | | February 14, 2012 Good food and good service. Their beers were pretty good, but not the widest selection was available on tap (about 6-7 beers). Great bar and good access from the downtown area. I would recommend dropping in. | | daknole (204), Scottsdale, Arizona | | October 15, 2011 Old school looking place. Good taps, but a repeat of lumberjack. Worth a quick stop to try the stout. | | rocbyter (43), Waterbury, Connecticut | | July 10, 2011 Average selection of regular beers with one or two seasonals on tap. Food was great. I went two different times. Got the stout ribeye that was awesome and the pizza is very good as well. | | decaturstevo (80), decatur, Tennessee | | March 2, 2011 Nice place on the resturant side. Open fire pit sitting area. Nice open bar area. Very relaxeed atmosphere. Bobbie our bartender very accomidating and patient. Beers were nice better than average. Good selection. | | skortila (125), Baarn, Netherlands | | December 10, 2010 Went there on an evening after we just arrived in Flagstaff. Cosey place, friendly staff. Lots of young people there. Their beers are okay. I had the meal with the 3 saucages, quite good. | texasbartender (2), Sugarland, Texas does not count - explanation | | June 13, 2010 we didn’t eat but the beer was good. they have a new place just down the street you should check out called the lumberyard where we did eat the food and beer was great. thues the high rating for the beaver st. bc taken together they are hands down the best place to go | | JBenson (10), Flagstaff, Arizona | | April 11, 2010 Beaver Street Brewery is always a reliable place to get a great beer in a good environment. Their brews are tasty and the service is great. I’m not a very frequent attender, but every time I’ve gone it’s been delightful. | GreatLibations (6), Last Supper, Arizona does not count - explanation | | April 3, 2010 Packed with people I worked my way through the crowd to a hole in the bar where I could just fit my body to shout out an order. 5 house brewed beers on tap to choose from. Got my beer fast and then noticed a table clearing. I asked if it was available and they said yes so we took it. Ordered a chicken quesadilla which arrived with good timing and very delicious. A suggestion by the waiter. The IPA was fresh and tasty. Ordered another beer and left. A good experience. The parking lot was full so I had to park down the street a bit but no big deal. A very rustic bar with visible brewing tanks. Good prices to boot. I will be back. | | trampdaddy (43), California | | March 13, 2010 second time visiting beaver street. the food is great. the beer is much better then flag staff brewing. they a above average brew pud resturant
