| auerbrau (232), Peace Dale, Rhode Island | | February 28, 2012 The prices here are FUCKED UP. Who wants to pay $37 for a growler of Hopfenstark Boson de Higgs. I would have loved to try that beer, but I’m not paying $37 fucking dollars for it. Jesus. I was browsing the bottle selection and my eyes were popping. I needed a couple of beers for the evening and settled on two cans of Pikeland Pils (for $4 each) and got a big snobby hipster ’tude, like I was just some jackwad drinking on the metro ride home. Weak. | | miketd (112), Cleveland, Ohio | | February 7, 2012 Small shop tucked away in busy Grand Central Station. Not a huge selection, but most of the bottles on the shelf was quality. The guy working was nice and helpful. Prices are really high... not surprising considering where they are located. | | Jow (59), New York | | December 21, 2011 Stopped by after work while Christmas shopping. What I would have given to have this when I used to commute i could imagine buying a nice for train most nights. Small little place but nice interesting selection. The girl there knew quite a bit about every beer they stocked. Prices a tad high but your in money making manhattan at grand central for gods sake. | courtneysux (1), Illinois does not count - explanation | | October 19, 2011 Went in last night as I was in search of beer in midtown late. Pleasantly surprised. Small shop but cozy and good service. Good selection for the size with Ithaca and Captain Lawrence growlers. Picked up Alesmith Wee Heavy and Tilquin Gueze. | | j12601 (214), Poughkeepsie, New York | | October 18, 2011 Small little shop in Grand Central, but for what it is, they seem to do a decent job of it. Good amount of bottles, and growlers. Selection is fairly deep for the space they have to offer, and apparently anything they have out on the shelves warm, they (allegedly) have cold, which is nice if you’re looking for something other than a Bud tallboy for the train). Prices are a tad high on a few things, but there are also some things priced reasonably if you pay attention. If you’re already in Grand Central, go take a look, but it’s not really a destination beer store. |
