| decaturstevo (58), decatur, Tennessee | | September 23, 2008 Great selection many northeast beers and just a huge selection overall. The service was ok but I new what I was looking for. Ran out of money before they ran out of beer. Would recommend that any and everyone stop by when in the area. | | KyotoLefty (96), Kyoto, Japan | | September 21, 2008 I go here twice a week when I am back in town. Can’t say much about service because I take my own list. They have an amazing selection. Yes, the prices are higher than elsewhere, but elsewhere you can not buy one bottle at a time. It costs much less than what you would have paid for the other 5. The US micro selection is especially good. | animal69 (1), Tha Rock, New York does not count - explanation | | June 12, 2008 this is my fav. place in the world, thev’e got about everything, and if they don’t they can get you a nice 2nd choice, the only downfalls are quite a few out-of-dates (mostly macro imports) and it could be bigger... | ZedOmega (5), Rochester, New York does not count - explanation | | May 28, 2008 I love this place. It’s only a few miles away from home so I make about 1 trip per month on average. There’s a massive selection which never ceases to amaze me. I usually buy by the bottle, but it’s nice to have 6-packs available. I’ve never tried any larger quantities. It’s very easy to drop $100+ without any effort at all so by the end of the year my “total donation” is rather sizable. Staff seems to range from knowledgeable to simply employed, but they’ve all been helpful to some extent. Stock can be old, but I’ve been lucky and haven’t had a skunked beer from BotW. Did I mention I love this place? | | notalush (139), Rawn-kawn-kohma, New York | | May 23, 2008 This store is massive, and well organized - it’s a bit dingy inside, and has the feel and charm of a grocery store that you would find in the bad part of town - but you don’t really pay attention to that because you’re too busy moving up and down the aisles looking at the beer - the first thing I saw in the store was a display case with vintage bottles of thomas hardy’s ale - nice - they had all the american microbrews that I’ve seen available in the state - as far as the imports, the german selection is most impressive (a lot of german beer I’d never seen before), and the belgian probably comes in second - prices range from good to really high (not sure how they come up with them) - the macros are tucked away in the back of the store like the third class brews they are (nice) - the only regions I’ve seen that have better stores than this are NYC and Boston - high marks. | rustbucket0873 (5), Krikville, New York does not count - explanation | | March 17, 2008 [ Updated June 2, 2008 ] This is a good store, they have tones of selection, if you dont want to buy a 6 pack to try one beer, you can buy only one all the way though cases and kegs. they have brewing equipment, glasses ext. | ShamRock (1), Rochester, New York does not count - explanation | | March 10, 2008 I love going there because it is well organized which makes finding beer easy. They have everything you can think of there. I can spend an hour looking at all the different kinds of beer. They sell by the case, six-pack or bottle. I love that. The people who work there kinda have a who cares attitude but thats fine. Basiclly its a beautiful warehouse of beer. Its like beer heaven. | | blipp (21), Grand Island, New York | | January 12, 2008 Very good selection, organized by country. In addition to having bottles, they also have glassware, 1/2 kegs of select beers, and some home brewing equipment. You’ll find me here at least once a week while school is in session. | scottw86 (3), New York does not count - explanation | | November 24, 2007 [ Updated January 15, 2008 ] Great selection! Not only do they have tons of beers from lots of countries, but they have a giant selection of glassware and home brewing materials. I could definitely spend hours in this shop. | | mds (100), Toronto, Ontario | | September 4, 2007 Pretty cool place though it doesn’t look like much from the outside, just kind of tucked away in a plaza.
Conveniently located right off of the highway so it wasn’t much of a hassle to take a peak on the way to Cooperstown from Buffalo.
The place is pretty deep and it’s ALL beer. Sorted by region and there sure is an extensive representation. Germans, Polish, all sorts of stuff that I haven’t seen in the U.S. They also had a good selection of American stuff that I haven’t seen in Buffalo like Southampton and some smaller states like New Mexico.
There is a big glassware and beer schwag collection up front for purchase too which is always nice to see.
We only stopped in quickly since we were on a schedule but I could see myself spending more time & money (and lots of it!) here in the future! | View Page : 1 2 3 4 5 6
