I was in the Columbia area over the Thanksgiving holiday, and I convinced my wife to go to Columbia to visit Bet-Mar, having seen it in BYO Mag. I was greeted by a smiling face, and a very helpful and upbeat owner. He made me feel at home and asked me if there was anything he could help me with straight away. We even chatted a minute or two over my brewing history; i.e. favorite recipes, etc. The shop is small, but their stock hit on all the essentials, and their prices were really reasonable. Overall, I was really happy with my visit to Bet-Mar, and won’t hesitate to go back. The Red Ale turned out great!
