Dropped in here while visiting San Diego last week; what a treat! Not like any other bottle shop experience I’ve had. Freddy is a real enthusiast and happy to share his enthusiasm, his knowledge and his beer! He’s a beer pedlar extraordinaire. Well worth a visit.

An Australia in need for some excellent American beers has found his salvation. Great Service, Fred was very helpful in trying to get the cheapest price for shipping. Unfortunate shipping to Australia from America is quite pricey, which is only reason why I will not be able to buy from here regularly.

My experience with Beverages 4 Less has been via mail order only, therefore the rating on ambience is what I consider a “middle of the road”. The overall experience was nothing short of excellent. Freddy replied to my request for a quote in two minutes flat! Once the deal was sealed, I received an immediate confirmation/tracking number and was off and running. The box arrived all the way across country in just about 4 days. All bottles arrived safe and sound due to the solid packaging. Their website is up to date and navigating it is a breeze. Their selection is great and the pricing is competitive with others in the area, especially on the shipping costs that can run a bit high. Overall, a solid dealer that I will certainly use again and again!

While my rating on the ambiance is a bit misleading as I’ve only ordered from there over the phone and have not actually been there myself, I do have a bit to add. A friend of mine took a trip to San Diego and visited the store as a first time customer on a recommendation and came back glowing with 2 cases of outstanding West Coast brews. The beers and his story of the place got me so intrigued I placed my own order less than 2 weeks later. To say Freddy is helpful and knowledgeable is an understatement. Freddy worked with me to find some really outstanding beers he had in his inventory and his awareness of the freshness of the beers is worth its weight in gold to hopheads like myself. Needless to say I will be ordering from him and this store routinely.

Hole in the wall type of place in Santee. If Freddy is in there, you will get your ear talked off until you leave. He has a great selection of some hard to find stuff, and frequently updates his facebook page with new items, but his prices are a bit higher than others.

I was on a road trip with my family and we took a short stop and tumbled upon this store. Now let me tell you a little about the guy behind the counter, jacob. Very helpful and knowledgable about his beers, he gave me a small tour of the store, i couldnt believe what i found at this store. My favorite beer Pliney the Elder was very fresh and in stock and there is alot of Russian River products. The also ship beers all over the US how neat! Well this place has definetly earned a loyal customer.

Freddy started talking the moment I walked in the store and basically never stopped. I got the full tour, the back story, information about his upcoming Dec. 20th tasting event, and he even cracked a beer to share while we talked. I told him right up front that I was not there to buy, but that did not slow him down a bit. Freddy knows his shit, has great connections in the industry, and puts his fragile beers in coolers, not on the shelves. Fresh Alpine in the cooler, and an "upper shellf" set of pretty amazing bottles. This is a great place with a great owner.

Fredd’y got a huge selection at a fair price. Customer service is alway great. He’s never recomended a beer that I didn’t like. He definitely knows his stuff. Check it out for yourself, you won’t be sorry.

I live in CT and have ordered from Fred a handful of times and I have never been disappointed. Fred has a great selection and takes pride in making sure that he gets your order out ASAP. Being on the East Coast we aren’t privy to many of the West Coast gems. I am glad that I found Beverages 4 Less and Fred so I don’t miss out on all the goodies on the Left Coast.

I don’t under stand why my review gets deleted over and over again. My name is Ralph I use ratebeer regularly and this is an honest review of a shitty ass place. I’ve been here 3 times. My last experience was the worst of them all I was beyond hassled. As soon as you walk in the door the owner/clerk is trying to sell you something. I like to think of him as a used car salesman. The selection is sub par, but everything is room temperature. Having said that the place is in SANTEE temperatures In the summer rise way above 100° Id like to see anyone enjoy that IPA that’s been sitting for months. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.
