| Geiserich (38), Vienna, Austria | | February 5, 2012 Visited the shop in January the second time. Selection was not too exciting. German and Austrian beers and some international stuff. Staff was helpful but overcharged, half of the beers I buyed have been expired. | | Cuso (82), Bratislava, Slovak Republic | | November 2, 2011 Beer shop with mainly German and Austrian beers with some mainly obscure international beers. Prices are reasonable, service is helpful, as it was mentioned below owner speaks English. Recommended place. | | ogivlado (242), Zagreb, Croatia | | November 1, 2011 [ Updated December 6, 2011 ] Beer shop focused basically on German and Austrian beers plus some of world wide beers. Reasonable prices. Friendly and helpful owner (speaks English), my bill was 78€, but he said that he had to give me some discount and lowered the price to 70€. Highly recommended place.
We visited this place again in November 2011, and this time it was even better than the last one – owner invited us in back room for a beer so we chated with him for a while and got one to take home for free (with some strange plant named “sanddorn”). Back room is opened for guests, it has a bar, few fridges full of beer, several tables and you can also eat here – he cooks (german) sausages. Very nice and pleasant visit. | | dantheman278 (13), , Scotland | | June 25, 2011 Despite spending a lot of time in Vienna, only been to this place recently. Amazing selection of German & obscure Austrian beers, not great on the international front but still reasonable. Owner is helpful & friendly, will even speak perfect English if pushed! Tasting area/bar out back, bottle prices same as in the store and he will even cook sausages for you. Apparently. Prices are great too. Definitely worth a trip, if only for the hard-to-find Forstner beers. | garrettdcole (5), Vienna, Austria does not count - explanation | | August 6, 2010 This is not the place to go for Belgian, British, or Dutch Beers. They really seem to specialize in German offerings and although the in-store selection is not as extensive as the website might lead you to believe, there are some choice beers here. As opposed to Biererei, the location is much more convenient to travel to from the city center. Also, the prices, in my opinion, seem quite reasonable and the service has been nothing but friendly. | | Balazs (35), Budapest, Hungary | | May 8, 2010 Small shop with friendly service. Expected a bit more in the international selection, but the local choices were decent. Owner is helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are good, and some good discounts on some of the beers. Worth stopping by. | | armando629 (71), Budapest, Hungary | | April 24, 2010 Nice selection without any big ambience, friendly stuff. Nice german and austrian selection, but the beer store hasn’t got 3000beers....Nice store to hunt down some rare beers. | | mross (12), Vienna, Austria | | April 17, 2010 Mainly an extensive range of german beers with a small selection of Austrian, Czech, Belgian and other international beers. Staff are very friendly. New stock arriving regularly. Not the best location, but worth checking out, especially for the beer enthusiast living in Vienna. | | nate2g (320), Marlborough, New Zealand | | April 9, 2010 A heavy focus on the German selection but they do stock a few local Austrian micros and the more common Belgian brews. Also there was the Forstner range available on our visit which was great. Friendly staff. A bit out of the way but worth a look. |
