There isnít much in the Cambie Village other than BierCraft, but that doesnít mean they rest on their laurels. I liked their overall presence, the bright neon sign occupying the corner of a building, and the mixed space inside and outside. They impart a half restaurant/half bar feel, making it accessible as a place to come for dining or drinks. We were not overly hungry when we arrived, but they place a cup of home made potato crisps on the table, and the quality of these is indicative of a kitchen that cares. Best chips Iíve had in a long time. We ordered the brisket mac-n-cheese to share and it was rich. Hostess was attentive and intelligent, and it was immediately apparent all the servers wore a cicerone shirt that was not just for show. Every question we had about beer was answered well and without hesitation. They are doing something right in creating a nice vibe here, as both staff and patrons seemed friendly. I do think that beer selection could improve, but having said that the beers were all in good form. I would rather have predictable beer in good form than unusual beer in bad form. They own the Bomber brewery and had a rack of Bomber taps, but we didnít try any as there were others drawing our attention. I was very impressed and would certainly go back.

Similar to itís other pub by way of beers and food available. I liked it for what it is, a place to have a quiet bevvy or two. Simple pub grub. Staff were attentive.

Awesome selection of Belgian beers in bottles. Good food. Prices could be a little friendlier.

Nice pub with a Belgian focus. Solid lineup of BC craft beer on draught, though certainly not among the best in the city in that regard. Some people consider the food expensive, but for the quality we got, we found it on the cheap side. The lasagna was original and greatly seasoned. Sure itís not an ubiquitous and quickly boring $10 pulled pork sandwich or burger that fills you up with its ton of fries on the side, but itís solid and varied cuisine that would be worth more in a different setting. Beers were fresh and while I understand that the lineup does not move so much, for the outside visitor, there were quite a few of interest. Service was friendly and helpful and the place felt welcoming and warm despite us being there with a child.

One of the best places in Vancouver for Belgian beer. Servers are knowledgeable. Food is on the expensive side and somewhat limited but very good.

All and all, the reason that I keep going to Beircraft is the cask. they are one of the few places in the city that I can almost always get cask ale. The belgian selection is good and they have them on tap and bottles as well. Lagunitas is a great addition to the beer list and the consistantly have a couple of west coast hop bombs that are fun to try. The bartenders are the most knowledgeable and when we go there I always prefer to sit at the bar. Service is consistent and the food is almost standard pub fare but prepared fresh.

I love how knowledgeable the staff is with the beer list. They truly have a passion for beer. The food is a little weak when compared to the beer, but I still love the place!!!

Been there when it was still Stella. Itís a cool place to hang out in the evening, and I like in general the atmosphere on Commercial Dr., but their focus on Belgian beers doesnít attract me.

Stellaís is one of my favourite places to go for casual dining and a great beer selection. The food prices are reasonable and the quality is consistent... the the six or seven mussel dishes are always good (be sure to get a side of bread to soak up the sauce with), the salads are decent, and the tapas, while not traditional in the Spanish or Portuguese sense, are tasty with a fusion flair about them.
Stellaís has an very good selection of Belgian beers that spans four pages. Most are in the $9 range, which is a little high in my books, especially when many can be purchased either at the BC Liquor Store or at the specialty beer stores in town. Their tasting notes for each of the beers is very accurate, and the staff seem, for the most part, knowledgeable about the different beers.
Stellaís can get very noisy... However, if you are looking for some great moules frites and an good selection of Belgian beers, Stellaís is the place to go.

Weak selection on taps, but very nice bottle selection - but the prices are terrible - about double to triple what they would cost from the liquor store - and due to this, I doubt I would return.
