82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20
Visited on: 9/25/15
Ambiance: Typical bar set up with a long bar that holds roughly 16-18 patrons, tables all around, a large patio out front for additional seating.
Service: Server was friendly and knowledgeable about the beers, made some decent recommendations
Selection: they had roughly 20 different in house on tap plus a bunch of guest taps and bottles. They had a DESTIHL takeover the previous night and had a bunch of their own sour beers on tap too.
Food: decent american pub fare, had a group of 7 guys, who all ordered different entrees and not a single complaint.
Value: Food was slightly higher but worth it, meanwhile beers prices were decent for smaller pours.
Overall, we went there with no knowledge of the place, so we had very little expectation. Beer reviews seemed to be average but we were impressed, especially for a food/beer place. a cheaper alternative compared to Mayor of Old Town.

Shopping center location. Small interior with an outside patio. Low ceilings, bright lights, sports on television. A good 30+ beers on tap, half of them house beer, nearly all American styles. There was something like 10 different pale ales/IPAs on the menu, with no information about what sets them apart (no hops listed, no detailed description of what to expect). Ask a question about what hops are being used, trying to find something that suits your tastes, and the bartenders are unable to answer (you know, because IPA is just IPA, right?). So I randomly chose two and both were basic and uninteresting (dull malt expression, muddled hoppiness). YMMV, of course, but this place came off as Just Another Brewery thatís not worth returning to.

Brewpub just south of campus in Fort Collins. Relatively small with a good bar area. Food was excellent as our group had a wide variety and like all choices - favorite were tacos with pulled pork. Service was very good- patient and attentive. Over ten of their own beers on draft with many others from local and large craft companies, without than just he run of the mill choices. Definitely worth a visit.

78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 15/20
I liked this place overall. They had a fun sense of humor including a $2000 bottle of Zima placed in a mirror box above the bar. Also, the bartender had a pretty sweet mustache. Just sayen. As far as beers, they have around a dozen or so house beer and, unlike most other area brewpubs, they have a guest taps. Actually, they have lots of guest taps, somewhere in the range of thirty. Iíd call this a beer bar that happens to brew their own beer as much as a brewpub really. The service was a touch on the slow side due to only one mustachioed bartender being on duty but fair enough. I got some sliders and a bowl of chili for lunch and they were OK but nothing exceptional. Iíd definitely come back if I was in the area again.

70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20
Stopped in for an early lunch on a Sunday morning as part of tickfest/Nielswedding tour. Medium sized place with lots of seating. I think there was only a single worker there because he was tending the bar and serving tables. Thus service was a little slow. Tasters are available of the beer they brew for $3 each and they are actually a decent size pour into a small snifter (12ish oz) with enough room to swirl the glass and not spill the beer. Ordered a BLT salad and a bacon mac n cheese pizza. Both were really good. The black bottle beers themselves were ok but some were pretty off. Seems they might have some yeast health issues with their beers. Two TVs above the bar, which was decorated with a series of lightly creepy taxidermies squirrels in weird poses. The real gem of this place is that they have a bottle of Pink Zima in the top center of the bar area for sale (only $2000, no I didnít type too many 0s). Overall the food was good and the draft list of other beers was sizable. Not sure of you can get tasters of non black bottle beers though. Two things lightly annoyed me (besides the weird dead squirrels): there is a sign in the bathroom that your car will be towed if you leave it overnight unless you place a card from the bar on your dash. Iím just guessing that if you arenít in shape to drive, youíre not going to remember to get one of those cards. Although this didnít apply to me or my visit, it irked me. Also, they offer a lunch special that is $9 for two sliders, a side of something (I forget), and one of their beers. But it is only good Monday through Friday. Maybe Iím the minority, but I don drink beer during lunch when Iím working. Maybe this is common and acceptable practice in Fort Collins though. Seemed like a good deal though.
Overall Iíd probably chill here on occasion, especially if my wife dropped me there while shopping in the plaza but Iíd likely check out other bigger places if I were to be in town visiting.

86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 17/20
This brewpub is in a strip mall and has the expected vibe, but with spruced up with some truly weird art on the walls and witty signage and an authentic last call gong in the corner. A couple TVís are above the bar with sports on. The beer list is pretty broad with the guest taps being of excellent quality. Prices are standard, mostly $4.50 for a 14 oz pour. The OE in a brown bag and Miller Light in a solo cup is a nice touch. In my opinion, the few Black Bottle beers I have tried have been just okay with a few being a little sub par. The lunch special was two sliders, a side and a beer for $8. This is a crazy good deal. The food was not too shabby and definitely worth the price. But, I wouldnít say that it was special. Pretty chill spot to come have some lunch and they have a great tap selection.

Stopped in to get a layout of the place. More like a restaurant than a brewery. A lot of stuff available on draft, but not a whole lot of their own stuff. Very good selection though. Hipster-esque atmosphere. Not my cup of tea but a decent and quiet little place. Staff was very courteous.

Nice place. They have 40 taps, about 8-10 of their own beers. The rest of the selection is usually pretty interesting beer. Decent values, especially the lunch special. The food is bar tapas and is solid.

Stopped with Aaron and Bobby as we continued our Ft. Collins tour. Rather small bar and tap room for the brewery. Ten or so house beers on tap and 40 in total. Lots of cool stuff to try. All beers are available in samples for $2, which is awesome. Food looked like fairly typical brewpub fair, but enjoyable. Really friendly service and good prices on the beers. One of my favorite places in Ft. Collins.

After getting back from Cheyenne it was time to get down to business and try some beers. They have about 40 taps going at all times but only ("only") a dozen of them are house beers. The good news is that they have some good guest beers and you can get samples of anything on the menu. The samples are 3 oz and come in those snifter glasses. Iím really not a fan of that shape of glass but theyíre pretty. Prices were reasonable and the server was more than happy to bring us all the samples we wanted. Some of the beers were good too. Would return.
