| pushkinwow (54), Ottawa, Ontario | | February 6, 2012 So first and most important this place has moved downtown, the same block as the Vermont Pub and Brewery. There are now only 4 or 5 taps but they are good selections (rotating HF beer and some local selections). Its a very nice restaurant, expensive but tasty - so you need to be in the mood for a good meal...but a nice meal, and to be honest its less about beer. That being said everything was delicious, great cheese, great service, very good ambiance and they knew their beer even if it was limited (more wine then beer). Have to also say that my rating is low because the focus is beer - if you want a nice meal in the city with some decent beer selections this would probably be my first choice. | | craftycarl21 (59), Washington, Washington DC | | June 26, 2010 Conveniently located between Burlington and Winooski in Vermont. Very rustic decor, with a really nice bar and 10 taps. All Northeast craft beer on tap; the worst beer on tap is Switchback, with gems including HIll Farmstead Edward, Victory Prima Pils, Trapp Family Brewing Helles Lager, and Allagash Victor. Food is reportedly excellent, and they also have top-notch unique cocktails and a superb wine list. Relaxed even on a Saturday night-- a welcome change from the insanity of the Farmhouse in downtown Burlington. Great alternative place to get a good beer in the area. |
