I heard a lot about this place while on a business trip. I’m new to the US and it’s hard to find good beer. Maybe, it’s just hard to find beer where I’m living. This place has good beer. The food’s not bad either! Service was great.

Right near the Vandy campus. Parking is tight but aviable behind the building. Food was very good. I had the beer sampler and all were at least decent. Pretty good to try 8 beers for 8 bucks. I will come back next time in town on business.

This was the first stop on Beer tour 08. Food was great. Service was great. Just the standards on tap, but after a while they were talked into ’going in the back’ to see what was conditioning in the bottle. Great place.

AMBIANCE: On the more upscale side, both in terms of the crowd and the decor. Live music was a nice touch. Copper brewkettles above well done. SERVICE: No complaints. Prompt SELECTION: They make some solid but not sensational beers. The special Rye-Not was the highlight of the day FOOD: We were there for Sunday brunch, so the menu was a bit atypical. My chicken andouille has was good, although a bit bland. My wife’s burger was okay a frozen patty cooked far above medium rare, although the parmesan garlic fries were pleasant. We were hoping for the wood oven pizzas, which were not available for Sunday brunch. OVERALL: There’s lots of good places to eat in Nashville. I’d be tempted to return simply to support the craft beer scene, but not for much else.

As far as restaurant/brewpubs, this place sits behind Blackstone for certain. I sometimes start here and then move on to Blackstone for more beer and better food. I’ve fund that Blackstone typically has better beer for this type of place, but am always happy to try thiers out. Again... this is a sampler place for me. I just love samplers.

My after work hang-out...sometimes around noon for a cheeky pint. great staff. the beer is a bit thin and malty for me but its damned better than average. Boscos is key. Good food. I like catching the cask when I can.

Stopped in to fray the expense account on a rainy spring Wednesday. Pretty easy to find, parking was a bit dicey, but I was able to park free and close. Near the Vandy campus. Got there at about 8:30, after the main dinner rush had gone and ate at the bar. The beer and the food here appear to be a notch better than at the Boscos Memphis location. Brandon, the head barkeep, picked right up on the fact that I was rating beers and really bent over backwards to assist me. Other wait staff would chime in from the waitress station at the bar to suggest their favorite brews and offer suggestions. Food came out very quickly. Duck spring rolls were ruthless. Friendly crowd, clean but not sterile-feeling. Well worth a stop. 8-9 Boscos fizzy taps and one or two cask handles.

Stopped in here for an appetizer and a few beers. Nice interior, not a typical brewpub look and an average sized enclosed bar with about 10 taps, and 1 cask offering. Couple of inobtrusive t.v.s around the bar and a nice looking brewing area in the back. Beers were good, menu had a nice variety of food that all sounded quite good, the crawfish cake I had was tasty. I would definitely return.

bigger than it looks when you first approach. Inside we had to ask to be seated and so we were starting to be skeptical. However, that all changed fast as we got some great beer: my dad got a decent scotch ale, my dad’s buddy got a nice mild light colored lager, and I had an excellent cask conditioned IPA. Next I had their regular draft IPA which was a little more balanced and more of a session beer for hop fans.
We had appetizers of smoked duck eggroll with a little barbecue sauce and chopped pimento garnish and some large butterflied shrimp cajun style- first rate. Main courses were for dad and Woody HUGE center-cut ribeye steaks done to perfection. Woody said he would’ve like a little more seasoning, but still great steak. They had a side of garlic mashed spuds (big serving); I had two large thick tasty smoked and grilled porkchops on a giant pile of sweet potatoes. BBQ sauce drizzled on the plate.
The waiter was very attentive, easy going, friendly. and a great guy. Highest praise for this place. The front desk clerk here at the Music City Sheraton had recommended the porter and burgers. Lucky Nashville!

Strange blend of industrial loft/ gothic castle/shabby chic. Very attentive and efficient lunchtime service. Uncomfortable booth and table seating. Food good but not great... underseasoned, IMO. Sampler of eight beers for $8 turned out to be overpriced for the quality. Scottish ale was by far the tastiest and most interesting. I found (or imagined?) a sour dairy character in many of the beers... over-reliance on lactic acid to adjust brewing pH, perhaps? Overall, pleasant and relaxed. I’d do lunch there again if I was in the area.
