Stopped in on a rainy Saturday afternoon. It is in a sort of shopping / welcome center. Very small place with a decent selection. Everything beer wise was broken up into build your own six pack selections and there were several West Virginia beers and lots of fresh new crafts available. This place is alright. I didn’t experience anything negative on my visit. Hopefully the reviews below are now outdated.

I have to take back pretty much everything I said in my first review (it can be read below). They have apparently changed owners and it has taken a sharp nose-dive. The current owner is incredibly friendly and talkative, but she isn’t very knowledgeable at all about that product. She couldn’t really answer any of my questions about the beer available. That’s not even the worst of it... The prices on my beers are out of control. The Beer Camp 12 pack came out last week and they gouged the hell of it. The bottles were available individually for $4.50. If you were to buy all 12, it would have been $60! I stopped in recently and they had Goose Island The Ogden priced a little more than $4 a bottle. The four pack would have come to a whopping $18! Drug Emporium had both of these packages. They had Beer Camp for $25 and Ogden for $12. If people want to pay such extreme prices, more power to them. However, all of my business will now go to Drug Emporium. 1st review: Every time I visit I received great service. Somebody is always willing to help. I do have to question the last review about one of the employees being disingenuous. Because I’m there fairly often I know the employees fairly well. The woman who works there is certainly friendly and helpful, but she isn’t the most knowledgeable person when it comes to beer. I guarantee you that she didn’t know that there was old product on the shelf. I would almost guarantee that the distributor dropped off old product. I really have a hard time believing that something has been in that shop for that long. However, selection is above average for the area. I wish they would carry a few more beers that were available elsewhere in the area, but that’s a minor complaint. Prices are a little high, but I’m sure they have to be that way from a business standpoint. It’s a bottle shop and bottled beer doesn’t generate a lot of revenue. Overall, Huntington is lucky to have this shop around. Bottle shops are few and far between in WV.

What a freaking weird place. It’s nice enough... a bright, tiny little store in an old brick shopping area with some trains around. The register area is very strange... a big table placed in front of a bank teller type window. Odd. This place is mostly beer, and it’s all in singles. The few six packs seem to be an afterthought. As do the few wine selections and some oddball cheeses and foodstuffs. The selection, as others have mentioned, is about as good as you will see in West Virgina. Sadly only two WV beers available, and those are both regular selections at the brewery. They have some expired beer on the shelf and some selections that are private labels for grocery stores. The shopkeeper (not the owner) was outwardly pleasant but was clearly disingenuous when I asked her questions about the age of some beer I knew was released almost a year ago (oh yeah, that just came in). Prices are a bit high. I left this place feeling a lot worse than when I came it. I will not be back.

this is a great place to go for the absolute best craft selection available in West Virginia, the owner Blaine is very knowledgeable and does what he can for beer culture in the Huntington area, great selection of singles to make your own six-pack.

Lets be honest, WV has a horrid selection of craft beers. This guy has nearly every single beer that makes it into the state of WV. It may not be comparable to stores in states with a broader distribution, but it’s as good as its going to get for the area it’s in. The owner is a really cool knowledgable guy. Always willing to answer question or help you make a selection. Plus, the selection of cheeses and speciality sauces are always top notch. Awesome store.

Convenient parking right in front of the place, can get busy on the weekend. Limited hours and closed on Sundays. Check out is in the center back where an employee is behind a bank teller counter. The owner was very nice and I think he is going to help the West Virginia craft beer community as a whole. Some of the other employees have limited beer knowledge. The selection lately has been just above average even for WV standards. Prices are slightly above average. All the singles are on the right. Very few six packs on the front let. They have a variety of things on the fron left mostly in a opern top cooler, slightly different almost every time I come by.
